Peter Kraiser - Tiroler Landsturm [Tyrolean march]
This march is named after the Landsturm of Tyrol, i.e. militias who could be called upon in times of need. These would play a vital role in the 1809 rebellion against the French and Bavarian occupiers. It was composed by Peter Kraiser, who served as the Kapellmeister of the Niederdorfer Musikkapelle (Niederdorf Music Chapel). Performed by the Musikkapelle Toblach. Accompanying painting depicts the return of one such militia during the 1809 rebellion. It was made by Frenz Defregger (1835-1921), who was himself born in Tyrol.
The Großfürstin Alexandra-Walzer ("Grand Duchess Alexandra Waltz") was composed by Johann Strauss II in 1856, during a stay in Russia. It uses various Russian motifs and stylistic elements. The waltz was named after and dedicated to Grand Duchess Alexandra of Saxe-Altenburg (1830-1911), who had attended several concerts. Alexandra was also a dedicated musician herself, and several of her compositions were incorporated by Strauss in his own works.

This trio sonata in F major was composed by Jean-Féry Rebel (1666-1747), a French Baroque composer and violinist. It is named after the Roman goddess Venus.

This march was written in 1864 by the Prussian composer Johann Gottfried Piefke (1815-1884), during the Second Schleswig War (which saw Prussia and Austria fighting against Denmark). The march was specifically composed to accompany the Prussian assault against the Danish defences at the Battle of Dybbøl. Denmark suffered a severe defeat in this battle and would ultimately lose the war, forcing it to surrender control over the duchies Schleswig, Holstein and Lauenburg.

To elegiske melodier ("Two Elegiac Melodies") is a composition in two movements for string orchestra, by the Norwegian composer and pianist Edvard Grieg (1842-1907). Grieg completed the work in 1880 and dedicated it to the Austrian composer and conductor Heinrich von Herzogenberg (1843-1900).

Poudre d'or ("Gold dust") is a waltz for solo piano by the French composer and pianist Erik Satie (1866-1925). Satie dedicated the work to the model Stéphanie Nantas (d. 1913), who was a friend of him.

The accompanying painting was made by Spanish artist Santiago Rusiñol (1861-1913), and depicts Satie watching Nantas, while she's playing the piano.
