ABRN HOW2 Use A Stud Welder Gun To Fix Dent
http://CollisionBlast.com - ABRN and Butler Community College has teamed together to bring you this ABRN HOW2. In this video you are going to learn how to use the new Magna-Spot JO 1050 Stud Welder Gun. The new gun is made by Motor Guard and has new features, which help hold the studs in place. We found the new features to be very helpful and eliminates the problem of pins falling out of the tip. Other than that, the gun operates the same:
1. Remove coating (grinder or dual action sander) sanding takes longer, but it much safer with today's thin metals.
2. Using stud welder gun weld several pins on the damaged area. (remember first in last out)
3. As you start pulling your indirect damage first, use a body hammer to tap down on the highs. (this also helps relax your metal)
4. Pull direct damage last.
5. Remove pins and grind any of the remaining stud welded to the panel. (do not over heat metal)
6. Grind or sand 4" past damage area to provide a area to apply filler without overlapping paint with filler.
7. Blow repair area off with compressed area.
Now you are ready to apply your body filler, block, prime, block, and get ready for paint.

Im about to paint my jeep using an eggshell clear (flat) and was wondering if it can be color sanded or polished. Im worried I will have bugs or orang peel and not be able to do anything about it. Any advice?

We are #painting #pinstripes and decals on the Eastwood Mustang project. We had stencils made from the graphic shop for the decal and used fine line pull out tape for the pinstripes. Unless you're an artist and can freehand, #custompainting and stripes consists of a lot of masking. But it's all worth it in the end. 1. Order parts and check parts to determine if correct parts were ordered.
2. Inspect part for damage and perform any repairs needed.
3. Remove (R&I) Tailgate
4. Remove (R&I) Gas Filler Neck Bolts
5. Remove (R&I) Tail Lights and Drop Wiring
6. Pull Damage To Realign Damaged Areas
7. Remove Spare Tire To Access Bed Bolts
8. Remove Bed Bolts
9. Remove Bed Assembly
10. Cut Spot Welds Using a Drill or Spot Cutter Tool
11. Split Panel Apart Using a Seam Buster
12. Once Side is Off, Straighten and Damages Flanges With Hammer and Dolly
13. Grind Weld Areas Smooth And Prepare For New Panel
14. Apply Weld Thru Primer To Bare Metal Areas
15. Prepare new Panel By Sanding Weld Areas To Metal
16. Install New Part and Align
17. Attach New Part (This may be a combination of MIG Plug Welds and
18. Resistance Spot Welds; Or MIG Plug Welds and Adhesives.
19. Grind Any Plug Welds Smooth
20. Prime Bare Metal With Epoxy or elf Etch Primer
21. Apply Primer Surfacer To Areas That Need To Be Block Sanded
22. Apply Guide Coat and Block Sand
23. Final Sand Part and Prep For Paint
24. Spray Primer Sealer To The Surface Being Painted
25. Spray Base Coat (and Blend Paint If Blending)
26. Spray Clear Coat
27. Reverse Disassembly Process By Installing Bed, Bed Bolts, Spare Tire, Tail 28. Lights and Wiring, Gas Filler Neck Blots, and Tailgate

http://CollisionBlast.com/ - - That's right custom paint jobs included flats, mattes and wraps and SEMA 2011 this year at SEMA. Not just flat black, but flat of many different colors. Also flat colors with two tone in combination of glossy paint colors.
Wraps was also a big hit this year at SEMA. I must admit, I really like the matte carbon fiber wraps and the brushed steel wraps they now have.
I thinking I should try the carbon fiber on my truck....what do you think?
