You Can Grow Magic Mushrooms With Me Episode 04 of 11 Grain Spawn Trilogy Part 2. Inoculating and Expanding The Grain Spawn
Learning to make and expand your own spawn at home doesn't need to be complicated, developing your grain spawn skillset enables you to grow any type of fungi you desire!
So you've inoculated your grains, what's next? Well lots of waiting and more watching. It should take around 3 to 4 weeks to colonise your grains, some inoculation teks are quicker than others, in this vid we'll compare a few different inoculation techniques, agar to grain, spore/lc syringe use and the quickest of all, grain to grain spawn transfers.
This process does NOT require the use of a laminar flow hood but you will need a pressure cooker. You can literally do it at home with ease in any kitchen.

Peyote cacti are hard to grow, this is my technique I developed over the last 20 years, nobody grows cacti like i do unless they learnt it from me.
I've gotten pretty good at it as I've dedicated a good portion my adult life to it, it took over a year just to gather the media to make this video, a year is a blink of an eye to cacti growing timescales.

00:00 December, the seed germination starts in a heated propagator at 70f with a T5 55k tube (on 18/6), the seeds are sprinkled on top of wet vermiculite, it is 'squeeze dry' wet, this ensures i don't need to disturb the micro climate to add more moisture over the next month, keep it sealed until loads are popping, then a daily FAE
00:20 January, keep the system the same, humidity at 99% maintained with a mister of water and organic liquid nutrients at 10% recommended strength for adult plants, type doesn't matter, temps around 70f, lighting 18/6, more seeds will pop, FAE twice a day, the heat pad for the tub is now off and natural climate of my home maintains the 70f
00:40 February, keep the system the same, humidity at 99% misting when needed, temps around 70f, lighting 18/6, more seeds will pop, FAE twice a day but leave lid off for about 15 mins each time to allow the FAE and to start the acclimatisation process, if they wilt and dry up a bit they are not ready yet, lid back on and back to previous FAE
01:08 March, the system is adapting, humidity at 80% misting when needed still at 10% nutrients strength, temps around 70f, lighting 18/6, more seeds may still pop, FAE thrice a day but leave lid off for about 30 mins each time to allow the FAE and to start the acclimatisation process, if they wilt and dry up a bit they are not ready yet, lid back on and back to previous FAE, sneak peak that it is all done in a little tiny space, if need be.
01:45 April, They have now adapted to the lid off in daylight, but still in the vermiculite for high humidity and the lid on at nights to balance the micro-climate, mid April i transplant out into a medium draining substrate, at the time i only had some old spent compost, it didn't need nutrients just decent drainage, they need out of high moisture at this point but are not ready for arid life of sharp sand soon to come, for me the sun is coming back after winter at this point and i'm slowly adapting the tubs to daylight instead of the 55k tube, dappled sunlight is best
02:10 May, They are adapting nicely to dryer conditions now, this is teased into them by delaying the misting of nutrient solution (10%) and allowing a dry spell between watering, some die and some get stronger, it's a game of numbers here, the more you planted the more you will have get through it
02:30 June, The survivors are plumping up, misting of nutrients at 20% with good dry spells between encouraging good root development, essential, they will look a little withered just before you water again, this is best, they are using a little of internal water and food reserves to grow organic matter in roots to look for moisture, this is how adult cacti thrive, they are on full natural light now, dappled sunlight is best.
02:50 July, fatter and fatter, same process as June for for the grower, dry spells get longer.
03:15 August, more of the same behaviour as July, a penny dropped in the movie for scale, had an overcast week and had to get a t5 tube out
04:20 September, the final transplanting en mass, into sharp sand, this is really course sand washed of fine silt, enables maximum drainage and ease of root growth chasing that drainage, mist and dry spells as before.
05:00 October sees serious weight put on and true peyote characteristics starting to show, dry spells get longer, misting with 25% strength nutrients, i'm supplement the end of daylight with a T5 as natural light hours per day not enough where i live, i still want 18/6
06:10 November, Lovely little Peyotes everywhere now and it's very visually pleasing, the rewards of a year of commitment staring right back at you, double and triple headed beauties here and there too, for the grower same behaviour as October, for me more light needed from tubes as my natural light is below 11hrs a day
07:00 December, same as November for grower behaviour but the eye candy rewards have swollen immensely, very pleasing time

This is my tent-pole movie, tent-pole or tentpole movie is a program or film that creates a bridge that supports the film studio or television network (in this case my channel) between major productions.
If you don't upload often and regular your channel is quickly lost in the algorithm, after much searching I find that Youtube advises creators to make a "tent-pole" movie to bridge the gap between the content you have uploaded already and your content that is growing in creation, in my case that is literally, I've got loads of new fungi and cacti content in the works but until stuff is grown I can't complete them, so I made this video to say hello and show you some stuff I am working on behind the scenes.

Reps until failure whilst doing mountain climber planks, remember folks i am trying to heal a spine injury here and 8 weeks ago i could not walk without using a cane, i'm getting stronger everyday now and I am really starting to notice the side effects in everyday life, it is very motivating to be seeing and feeling the small improvements everyday to my core strength and stability of my spine, really good results and progress, I still have a very long way to go but i am starting to enjoy the exercise, i'm still in loads of pain when moving but i am also in a very similar level of pain if i try to move as little as possible all day, so I might as well be in pain getting fitter not fatter as i am in pain either way.
This is a variation on mountain climber planks inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the documentary Pumping Iron (1977), I remember watching this when I was a kid and Arnold used to say that you don't need to count reps, just do them until you can't do anymore and once you have recovered do it again, so 'stick around' and 'i'll be back' with more videos soon.

DMT: The Spirit Molecule is a 2010 documentary film based on a book of the same name by Dr. Rick Strassman. Directed by Mitch Schultz and starring Joe Rogan as narrator, the documentary deals primarily with the psychedelic and entheogenic drug N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) through the lens of interviews with those who have used the drug, either as part of Strassman's scientific studies, or in combination with MAOIs (as ayahuasca). In 2013, Adam Winstock, working off of data in the Global Drug Survey, hypothesized that the documentary may have led to increased popularity of DMT. In July 2018, Variety reported that the documentary was one of the most streamed on Netflix.
The Spirit Molecule investigates dimethyltryptamine (DMT), an endogenous psychoactive compound, which exists in humans and numerous species of plants and animals. The documentary traces Dr. Rick Strassman's government-sanctioned, human DMT research and its many trials, tribulations, and inconceivable realizations. A closer examination of DMT.
Included here before the documentary are the DMT experience interviews with some of the stars of the documentary, they were the special features from the DVD, again this is from my old archives and i've shared purely to make sure it is not lost to the next generation of emerging psychonauts in this over censored version of multi media reality we all find ourselves in, this is certainly not my simulation I know that for sure.

I normally only make videos like this for myself, in my early Youtube days I made videos to upload that thought my audience would have an attention span greater than a goldfish, they did not go down well, any longer than 10 seconds without a cut or change of scenery and they'd just skip ahead, so I would chop up my huge expansive videos into attention grabbing constant scene changing on screen style videos as advised by Youtube.
I am sharing this one here this original long format (Directors cut) to preserve the memories and enable my family around the world to enjoy this with me and hopefully help us all remember my Dad in a place he truly loved to spend his life.
