Most developers are afraid to change jobs, especially in a short period of time. This term can be defined as "job-hopping", or "To change jobs frequently, especially as a means of quick financial gain or career advancement"
In this video, I received a question from a reader telling me that he was afraid that job-hopping would hurt his career.
He told me that he is changing jobs frequently, mostly in 1-year periods and he is afraid that it might be a bad thing in front of new employers.

Most of it can have psychological root causes such as low self esteem and lack of confidence which would be impossible to cover here.

Dealing With Lack Of Confidence As A Developer
A lot of developers struggle with lack of confidence. In fact, I've talked about this several times on this channel, because this is such a recurrent topic in the software developer community.
One of the ways that this lack of confidence can appear is in the form of the "Impostor Syndrome".
For those who don't know, Impostor syndrome (also known as impostor phenomenon or fraud syndrome) is a concept describing high-achieving individuals who are marked by an inability to internalize their accomplishments and a persistent fear of being exposed as a "fraud". Despite external evidence of their competence, those exhibiting the syndrome remain convinced that they are frauds and do not deserve the success they have achieved. Proof of success is dismissed as luck, timing, or as a result of deceiving others into thinking they are more intelligent and competent than they believe themselves to be.
So, how to you deal with this lack of confidence and develop your inner security?

Will Developer Jobs Disappear?
There is a lot of talking on the internet about the demand for developers in the future. Some say that the demand won't change and that developers will still get plenty of job opportunities, while others say that the profession will disappear and there won't be the need for programmers anymore.
So, where do I stand in all of this? I don't know.
Who knows what will happen in 30 years from now? Do you expect everything to be the same 30 years from now? You know, as scary as it sounds, A LOT will change in the next 30 years and nobody will be ready for those changes. Nobody will know what will happen. And we must be prepared for that.
