We are still on board the inaugural Papandayan train in Indonesia. In my previous video I traveled the train from Gambir to Garut in the Priangan Mountains of West Java. Now we are going to take the same train – the same carriages even – back to Jakarta again. This time we’re seated in executive class, so once you’ve seen this video you are completely up to date about this new train! The Papandayan train started operations on 24 January 2024. This video was recorded on the same day. In the upcoming video this Sunday, we make a walk through parts of the tourist hot spot of the resort island of Bali in Indonesia. It’s a no voice-over video for you to enjoy, but I have added comments as texts every once in a while to highlight the things that I noticed compared to earlier visits to Bali over the last 20 years or so. When walking around I noticed a number of remarkable things, one major negative thing was the piles of trash along the beachfront road. As if it hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time. It was in no way just waste from the day before. And then I don’t even talk about the beaches. They are probably at the worst I have ever seen.
