A Sega Gamegear that was given to me.
I felt very bad and gave a friend £10 that was in my wallet at the time. Ha.

This is my how to on the above.
It has taken around two weeks to gather my findings from various sources... from watching others destroy disks right up to how a 3.5" floppy was made in the factory!
This is my second iteration of the only way a floppy can be reverse engineered without bending the metal shutter, wrecking the disk, pinging the spring or just fluffing the whole thing up.
I am open to other suggestions, but I have tried so many things and either ruined the disk inside or wrecked the case.
This method ensures you can keep your original floppy game case/labels as pristine as you can, these things are getting rare now.
My idea is to recover the disk casing and possibly the inner disk to original quality.
If the inner disk is beyond recovery, then a new inner will be sourced and data written back to it from a known game data archive source.
TIPS:
- Grab those floppies from your cellar or loft and store them between a constant 10 to 40 degrees, otherwise they will end up growing mould inside the disk (if they haven't already!).
- Before you put a floppy in your drive check to see if it has mould, if they do, don't put them in your drive, they will make an awful ticking/scratching noise and will scratch the disk causing it to fail!
- If you do end up putting a disk in to test and it makes a noise, immediately take it out and send it in for recovery.
A HUGE THANKS to the 'Greaseweazle' community on Facebook groups too, you have been great!
I hope this has helped somebody... GAME ON BAAAAABY! ?

Big nuts and I playing Halo Reach.
He gets his ass handed to him on a fucking huge English plate... with some sarcasm laced around the chips and beans.

Tonight we go back to Goldeneye 007 on the N64 - we had a really good night and conquered a few levels for once.
It's defo getting harder every level we complete.
We have a look at our new t-shirt, test out some fart spray and 'Big Nuts' gets drunk.
See you all soon!... Horizon New Dawn again next week.

Awww bless him, Jamie was so nervous on camera lol
He did well though, give the guy a hand *APPLAUSE NOISE*
Emulation and save-states could be a lot lighter on us with this game, but this is the real deal.
Enjoy this one - we do eventually get the level code! WEEYY
Go Jamie!

This week we had a dodgy retro-pie once again, no game sound from the word go and our chat client was having problems (which wasn't our fault).
On the plus side, somebody gets a present and we eat loads.
Shouting out to the 'The1316Killer' a good channel to visit; it's satire comedy with film, toy and now shoe unboxings, and with REAL facts & stats based on REAL information etc, it's quite funny, I do explain in this video around the 1:46 mark.

This week 'Wardruna' (one of our viewers) won the Game Giveaway! Well done! :D
We got further in Bruce Lee 2 and played some Hunchback 2 & Spy vs Spy.
The new SWINSID Nano got a good test and we're quite impressed with it (jumpered to the 6581 position). The C64 we are using originally had an 8580, the SWINSID allows you to use either in any C64 as the PCB has a voltage regulator on-board and a 6581/8580 jumper... Pretty cool!
