.40 S&W in 10mm Glock: Accuracy Test -- sure it runs, but does it shoot straight?
This video is basically a response to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwXtEm70Q0M, in which we run .40 S&W through a 10mm Auto Glock 20SF to show that it works. There were a few comments along the lines of "yeah, it functions, but is it at all accurate?" To try and properly answer that question, I shot two groups from a rest with a laser so we can compare. The 10mm WAS more accurate, but the .40 does fine. My guess is that I would get even closer results with a good barrel like a Lone Wolf (due, primarily, to having a tighter chamber), and I may test that in the future. This is round two of testing AR-15 muzzle devices for flash hiding capability! We use a nice Lux meter to get real brightness data.

The Liberty Mystic suppressor can be used on a huge range of calibers and firearms, and we'll try to get a bunch of different guns on camera to see what they sound like with the can. In this video, we test out a Remington 597 HB (heavy barrel). This was a factory rifle without threads, and my AWESOME gunsmith, Nick of http://hctcfirearms.com/, turned down the barrel and threaded it for me. The job is 100% absolutely perfect and looks completely factory.
Hopefully I can find a sub-sonic load that cycles the action of the Remi... if .22 ammo ever becomes available again, that is :-(

SIG gives us a look at their brand new P365 sub-compact concealed carry pistol with a 10+1 or 12+1 capacity. It's an inch wide and weighs 17 oz. Same size as many 6- or 7-round single stack guns but with higher capacity. Feels good in the hand, too. This is going to be a big seller for them, no doubt. Stay tuned, as I'm supposed to get my hands on one in February and I'll be publishing a range review after putting about a thousand rounds downrange.

MechTech makes Carbine Conversion Units for Glocks and 1911s. In this video, we're checking out a 10mm and a .45 ACP Glock C.C.U., built to different specs.

Since the "upper" sets your pistol's caliber, whether GLOCK or most 1911s, and the CCU uses only the frame, you can run lots of calibers with the same frame! For instance, all "small frame" Glocks, which means any Glock in 9mm, .40 S&W, .357 Sig, or .45 GAP, actually use the exact same frame. So if you own a Glock in one of those calibers you can get a CCU in any or all of those calibers! Most 1911s are the same way, and even if you have a .45 you could get a CCU in 9mm, 10mm, .38 Super, .460 Rowland, and others and just use the appropriate magazine. Pretty awesome!
I think a double-stack 9mm 1911 might be the best possible lower to pair with a CCU. High capacity, sub-sonic ammo available for shooting suppressed, really nice trigger, plus a manual safety.
