Just a quick video exploring the insides of a rather dissatisfying mouse that I had purchased on Amazon. The mouse has a few redeeming qualities; it is USB rechargeable wireless and it was pretty simple to take apart. Overall a solid 2/10 - would not recommend.
Found this guy for 4$ at my local dollar store (welcome to Canada) and figured I would take a gander!
Once again it is amazing how manufacturers minimize component counts in order to drive price to the ground!

In this video I solder on some input and output terminals and get the switches put in place for switching the inputs to the buck converters.
The plan is to have 3v, 5v, 9, and 12v fixed outputs that can be used simultaneously, have multiple connection methods, and be portable and compact.
This took me a lot more time to film and make than I thought so I had to break it out into multiple parts.

Hello again, today I thought I would build my own LEDs for my QAB (Quick Access Box).
The design is inspired by Julian Ilett (https://www.youtube.com/user/julius256) but I added the heat shrink to strengthen up the leg of the LED.
This design is a must-have in my opinion because of how messy your breadboard gets when you have to add a resistor to your circuit just to have an indicator LED.
On the subject of the QAB - this is a work in progress, a box where I can put in some components I use often in order to prototype quickly.
Let me know what you would put in your own QAB down in the comments below and once again;

In this week's episode of the Simple Electronics Podcast - Dave from Usagi Electric! Electric is the correct word because he's been busy making silicon-free logic circuits and attempting to work his way all the way up to a full vacuum tube computer! We talk about what he's been doing since the pandemic started, the motivation for his hobbies and even delve into old cars! Dave is a cool guy and I hope you'll go subscribe to his channel - as his videos punch WAY above his subscriber count!
