We had to make this as quick as we could because the Arizona heat was really heating up the RV. The shades do make a huge difference in the temperature inside the RV.
Our old ones came with the used RV when we bought it so we just copied the old ones, but we tried to make them a bit bigger. It was nice to get new material as the old ones were stretched, moldy and dirty.
We went to "Joann Fabric's" to buy the material and "The Home Depot" for the snaps. At "Joann's" we used a 50% off coupon for any one item of regular priced material. We chose white vinyl that came as close to the old ones as we could.
I did mess up on the measurements and our sewing machine wrecked the passenger side window attempt, so I will reuse that one for something else along with the scraps. But for now the old one on the passenger side is the only one that has not broken yet. When we get time we will buy new material and finish up that one later.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

My husband figured out how to make our washer machine grey water feed into the same hole as the black and gray water with no real issues. My husband insisted on installing a compact RV washer machine in our RV about 3 years ago. The RV places ALL said it could not be done. My husband said otherwise and I liked the idea of not having to go to the laundry places every week or every other week. So he ripped out the captions chair and passenger chair that was in that spot, and he added my much needed deep freezer and Washer/Dryer combo inside our RV. Now the only thing that does not work is the hot water to the washer so all out clothes are washed in cold water but it has been working fine for over 3 years now. For the last 2 1/2 years we just stuck the washer hose outside the window that drained into a bucket when we were in AZ. But now that its is much colder in our new place and the current RV park has much more dirt everywhere in our spot we didn't want to get our spot super muddy or make ice puddles out our front door. This fix my husband did has been working great so far. Now that we are deeper into the winter we noticed that the pipes freeze up so now the grey water from the washer backs up. We plan to insulate the outside pipes very soon and then we are sure it should have no problems. We just use the washer when it is in the 40's outside during the day and it works fine. If we must we will go to the local washer place to do laundry that is ok but it is nice to just get laundry done while getting other things done inside the RV as well.

This is a quick video how we do our laundry in our RV during the summer. During the three other seasons we can use our dryer but we usually just like to hang dry our clothes anyway.
One day when we finally get our small farm/homestead then we will have an outside clothesline.
My son's channel is TokenBaesian if you would like to see his channel. It is kid friendly of course.

We went to the closest Army Navy Store and found some 50 gallon barrels that we cleaned out and will use on our land for some water.
Right now they are cleaned out but we might wait till after winter to bring them to our land. We cannot do much on our land during the winter so we will do what we can until spring.
My husband is currently looking for a job and I am homeschooling our son.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks again

I wanted to attempt to reuse an old bed sheet that we were just going to throw away. I also had an empty wipe container that I wanted to reuse as well and I had some orange cleaning ingredients brewing, so I went for it.
I looked at a lot of homemade cleaning recipes and I adjusted them into my own. I had made some tangelo Everclear with my fathers home grown tangelo skins a while back. I had just zested the skins and soaked them in store bought Everclear. I also just made some orange flavored vinegar with soaking the zest of oranges in vinegar.
The recipe I used was:
3 cups water
4 Tablespoons Tangelo Everclear
4 Tablespoons Orange Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Tlbs Dawn or dish soap, but I would try just 1 Tablespoon instead

We are just showing you our progress on things we got done and things we still have to do before we can leave to our land.
We also have our storage unit to sort through and to figure out what we really need to bring with us. We will still have to fix the RV and buy new tires for it.
My husband still needs to trade in his car for a truck before we can leave and then the packing starts.
In the meantime we can only really work at night since it's so HOT out out here so progress is a little slower than we wanted but it is still progress.
Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.

We are cleaning out my husbands car so we can sell it before we leave. We both have trucks now so we need to sell the last large item before we can go.
