EF2 Tornado Damage & Aftermath Lake Charles, Louisiana #lookup #tornado #winddamage #severeweather
According to the National Weather Service, a confirmed EF-2 tornado with winds up to 115 mph touched down near McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana on April 10, 2024. It touched down near Vernon Road & crossed Common, Center, Harvard and Kirkman streets. The tornado damaged the roofing of the Moss Memorial Health Complex and continued across Louisiana Avenue, destroying the roofs of several homes along Elton Court. This tornado touched down a couple of blocks from my home. I was fortunate, many were not. I heard the sounds of transformers blowing and trees snapping... It was horrifying to just hear. I can only imagine what the people affected went through. Fortunately, no deaths were reported, but the damage is very sad.

I pray every day that people will stop looking down at your phones and start looking up at what's going on in the sky. I encourage everyone to check out other channels that video weather and the sky. There is some very educational and beautiful footage to be seen.
