Did slavery or secession cause the Civil War? Was it a needless war? How did our torn nation mend its wounds afterwards? It is with great pleasure that we welcome back Dr. Gudelunas as he answers these questions and expands our knowledge about the Civil War by discussing the causes, its inevitability, and the reconstruction of America in post-war shambles.
Argentine-American Lyric Coloratura Soprano Melissa Batallés has established her career performing as a concert soloist with pianists and orchestras throughout the country. Melissa is a three-time recipient of the Michael Masser ASCAP Scholarship, the Audience Choice Award and Kreshek “Best Vocalist” for McCallum Theatre’s Open Call Competition; Finalist in the Palm Springs Opera Guild Competition, winner of both the AEIOU and Professional Opera Singer’s Association competitions, and finalist in the 2012 Meistersinger Competition in Austria, where she performed with orchestra in Austria conducted by La Scala Opera conductor, Maestro Edoardo Müller.

Concerted efforts by wildlife agencies, conservation organizations, hunters, citizen scientists, and land conservancies are resulting in increasing numbers of wild desert bighorn sheep.
