Some footage of flying at the Las Candelas paramotor festival at La Puebla De Los Infantes, Sevilla, Spain.
Sorry it's taken so long to get around to editing this - but it took a while to learn Final Cut, and then find time to actually put it all together.
Hope you like it - please comment if you do.

Finally, end of winter. So got up for a local flight. I got a max lens mod for my Gopro 10, and wanted to try the horizon stabilization along with my new top frame mount that I built. The mount takes most of the engine vibrations out, and the gopro seems to do a great job of removing the rest. Could this be the end of The Stubilizer ™ ?

This is a defished version of the video:

'Bought this to complement my PAP top 80 - not for long XCs, but great fun for short flights. It has TONS of power. Probably pushing out 70-80kg. '
The new go pro Hero 2 shoots 170 degree field of view at 1080p. This has a fish eye effect (obviously). Sometime you want this, sometimes you don't.
To compare side by side, I've defished the footage using Adobe After effects.

Personally I like both for different footage. Here, I think the more film like ratio you get by defishing makes it more cinematic, but there is probably too much movement for it to really work here I think - it appears a bit artificial to the viewer I think? Defishing seems to work better with static shots, or shots where the majority of the action is contained in the middle third of the screen.

I had some stuff lying about so I koncked together a self contained stablising platform for a camera. It's based on a multiwii lite controller, and a basic 2 axis gimbal.

Really just because it case up on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PilotsPPGclubUK. Here is some old footage I took with a flycam2 - basically it was rubbish. I stopped using it after that. I was using my veho muvi last year and looking back it's not actually that bad quality - it's just that now I've moved to HD, it doesn't really fit in to my editing workflow. However, with a fish eye lens there is still hope it could provide some interesting viewpoints

So.. total pilot error here - i went far too far back and ended up landing in a bush/tree 5 feet off the ground. Took me 30 mins+ to extract glider and myself from the bushes.. then another hour later untangling the frickin thing... lesson learned
