You are not spiritual because you say "namaste" after a yoga session.
First of all have to admit, I'm not a super spiritual person and didn't look very deep into the subject. The reason is pretty straight forward, I'm German, and I simply don't have the cultural predisposition. The main thing we do where I'm from is [over]rationalizing everything. Nonetheless, I understand that some people are intrigued by Asian culture and take a deep dive into it, but honestly, if you are an American or from Europe you'll never fully comprehend what asian scholars live out. You and I, we didn't grow up in a cultural environment like, for instance, India with spicy food, giant families, a caste system and hundreds of different gods, depicted in the most colorful and shrill way imaginable, which represent the elements of their only one real God, that gave birth to practices like yoga and meditation. So instead of searching for a blueprint for happiness and a concept you can cling to, just look for inspiration and accept that everlasting bliss is an illusion; it'll never be a consistent state of being. Secondly, you're better off creating your own culture with your own set of rules by basically cherry-picking certain elements of foreign cultures and integrating it in your life in consideration of your own cultural background and personal preferences.
"When we look at the world rationally, the world looks rationally back."
That's why I choose to explore spiritual literature. The material (rational) realm does not provide all the answers. Not at all.

Definition: "Social Engineering"
The practical application of sociological principles to particular social problems.
Political science Use of propaganda by a government to sway perceptions and attitudes of its own citizenry
-->The act of manipulating a person to take an action that may or may not be in the “target’s” best interest. This may include obtaining information, gaining access, or getting the target to take certain action.
computer security The practice of tricking a user into giving, or giving access to, sensitive information, thereby bypassing most or all protection
sociology Use of numerical data to inform social programs.
“The future dictator’s subjects will be painlessly regimented by a corps of highly trained social engineers. “The challenge of social engineering in our time,” writes an enthusiastic advocate of this new science, “is like the challenge of technical engineering fifty years ago. If the first half of the twentieth century was the era of the technical engineers, the second half may well be the era of the social engineers” — and the twenty-first century, I suppose, will be the era of World Controllers, the scientific caste system and Brave New World.”
