Took off with a sort of John Cleese funny walk - having to life my feet out of the 12-14" of snow each step while still running. Amazing views, but very very cold - even with heated gloves on.
Shot with GoPro HD - r4 (1280x960), stretched to 16:9 720p for vertical FoV

RCTimer 2 axis brushless gimbal, plus another axis DIYed on by myself. Running 2 seperate BRUGI brushless controllers, flashed to run alexmos BGC code.
Pleased with video stability now - even in narrow mode on the gopro, I am getting a stable picture.
Post- stablized in FCPX using C2 lock and load - but it really is just taking small wiggles out.
I'm afraid the dog walkers came into the empty park in the few minutes I was flying - so apologies to them, but I did stay away from them once spotted and landed soon after.

Quick top to bottom from 'The Map of Africa'. This was my first ever free flight on my reaction - there was no lift so it was pretty quick. It was tricky with the wind direction on landing getting low enough over the houses and car park to allow me to bleed the reaction's speed off before landing in the sea.

7pm flight taking off from 1700m. Wind was strong and gusty. Even the pros were struggling. I screwed up first attempt and in the rush to get off, I didn't realise the wing had swapped around when it was laid back out, so turning resulted in a complete twist. Unfortunately I was already running by then, and it is a STEEP slope. There was no way I could stop easily, and my brakes were all caught up because of the twists. I do tend to make stupid last minute decisions in situations like this... and they usually end badly.. however this time I got away with it - one 360 pirouette later and I just made it before the rocks and got airborne!!

A nice 60 min flight over the hill known as 'The Map of Africa'. I think I got higher than anyone else that day - sneaking bits of lift from here and there, but in the end the wind was picking up a bit, so it was time to land - back on the top.

Stratford St Mary to Braintree - shot on GoPro HD2 with goprolens.com poloriser
Around 50 miles round trip Flight, taking around 2 hours. The Bailey JPX is a thirsty beat, and took about 12 litres return (my wee top80 would have done in in 6 litres!), but it has loads of power.
I'd just fitted the speed bar to the bailey and it was too long, so I struggled to get anything more than 20% speed bar on - which made it impossible to keep up with Mark on his Plasma.
I used the polorising filter I got from Polar Pro Filter (goprolens.com) for the first time. It does seem to have brought a bit more colour out that you'd usually get with the go pro - I've not touched the colour in post.
There's also some shots using my head mounted pole (see my other videos).
Overall, a nice flight. By the time I got back the sun had set and it was very near last light.
