When you're recording a podcast, you have two choices. Do you record the new content and edit it to create the final show or do you record it live as if it's one piece, adding sound effects, etc.?
To do either, you need time, ability, hardware/software, and a desire for quality.
There is a downside, though. In the pursuit of excellence, you can spend more and more time trying to get it perfect. With live to tape, you know it's not really live, so you feel like you can redo it and sometimes you'll get picky. When you record it to edit, this is part of the point, but you can still go overboard and create a show that is near perfect, but took too long to make.

Just find out who's interested in what you're doing and tell them. Simple, but not easy. There's no single place that all your people will gather, so you can tell them. Imagine that you get a room. In that room, there are exactly 2,000 seats. For each seat, there's a ticket. At first, in handing out tickets, you might be happy if anyone takes one, but as you get closer to 2,000, you might start to realize that you shouldn't have been so arbitrary. You only have 2,000 and there are so many people you'd like to invite.
The good news is that the meeting space is willing to add seats, but only as the first 2,000 actually fill up. You don't get extra tickets for people who don't use theirs. You need to take them back and pass them out to people who will actually come and participate.
