Profusa has been awarded a $7.5 million grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and Army Research Office. The grant will be used toward efforts to develop implantable biosensors that can continuously monitor multiple body chemistries. "Profusa's vision is to replace a point-in-time chemistry panel that measures multiple biomarkers, such as oxygen, glucose, lactate, urea, and ions with a biosensor that provides a continuous stream of wireless data," said Profusa Chairman and CEO Ben Hwang in a statement. These sensors are created using a bioengineered “smart hydrogel,” which Profusa describes as a material similar to a contact lens. The hydrogel makes up a porous, tissue-integrating scaffold that, when applied, promotes capillary and cellular in-growth from surrounding tissue. Recent projects, according to CNET, include new mixed reality glasses, virtual reality controllers that let you feel the weight of virtual objects, and new smartwatches. But perhaps the most unusual is a high-tech temporary tattoo that basically turns your flesh into a giant touchpad. B.C. health officials are recommending an age-old, occasionally cutting-edge tactic for sex during the coronavirus pandemic: “glory holes.” The B.C. Centre for Disease Control added new recommendations for socially distant sex to its COVID-19 website this week. One of those tips was to try using a “glory hole” — a hole cut into a wall that’s only large enough for a penis to slip through. The recommendation is just a tip and not a firm rule, according to the website. *Check out the full article by copying the link: https://globalnews.ca/news/7204384/coronavirus-glory-holes-sex/?utm_medium=Facebook&utm_source=GlobalCalgary **If you find this suggestion debaucherous and unsettling , feel free to e-mail Ms. Henry to share your feelings, or the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council to complain about this piece of 'medical advice' from these so-called 'medical professionals' to be allowed to air as 'News' . Sandra Bourgoin posted a video on Facebook Saturday afternoon of a man in a local Montreal Tim Hortons being asked to wear a mask by a police officer.
In the now-viral video, after several tries, the man still refused to wear a face-covering as required by government orders.
