Today's question is: Can urethane base coat be applied over lacquer? This is a common question with a lot of opinions and answers. I'll give you my opinion, what I researched, and what one paint manufacture had to say about it.

http://CollisionBlast.com - This is a quick video clip I shot at SEMA. I tried using the welder, but it was quite a bit different than actual welding.
This system may teach someone proper gun angle, speed and distance. Once you have that down, I think it would be easier to learn how to weld. However, nothing replaces the real thing of hands on actual welding.
It would be interesting to see a study of one group of student learning to weld with 20 hours of virtual welding and 20 hours actual welding. And another group of students with 40 hours of actual welding to see how they compare.
If the virtual/actual improved as well as the all actual students, this would save a lot of money on material for training purposes. If you know of any study that has been done on these welders or if you have any opinions about virtual welders, let us know by leaving a comment below.
Hammer and dolly basics are covered in this YouTube video. We'll also talk about selecting the right tool for the job. The auto body tools covered in this video are: universal dolly, toe dolly, heel dolly, wedge dolly, chisel hammer, pick hammer and shrinking hammer. As mentioned in the video, it is more important to focus on the shape of the tools than the names of them, but it is good to know both. Just remember to keep it simple....use what works.
