Here is a quick video of how we make prickly pear jelly from the prickly pear cactus around our home. It's makes for a delicious and beautiful colored jelly/jam. You may not have prickly pears where you're at but many fruit based jellies and jams require the same type of preparations. So hopefully this might give you an idea of how to make a jelly like this. Hiking a hidden and remote canyon in Arizona's backcountry in search of some Native American ruins. Although the hike is a relatively short distance, it is known for being incredibly steep with difficult terrain. On this day, we encountered waterfalls caused by snowmelt and recent rains, which really added to the beauty of this rugged canyon. However, these waterfalls and seasonal water flows also made for super slick rock and ultimately shortened our hike prior to getting to the ruins. But it was still a great adventure in an unbelievably beautiful desert canyon!
