So if you have found a BTC ATM near you and you’re curious or if you’re looking for other options to buy or sell bitcoin, here are some things that are worth taking into consideration:
4421 ATMS in 77 different countries
Lots to be found in the US across Europe and Russia. There is not as many in China as I expected to find and it looks like the ATMs to be found in Australia are on the East coast. Also it looks like there is plenty of potential for growth across all of Africa and South America.
You will be subject to the regulations of the county in which the ATM is located. So if you are in the U.S. for example you may be required to provide your first and last name and phone number.
The ATM might have high commission rates and the price of Bitcoin if you’re buying could be priced at $50 over spot.
BTC ATM machines made by the Genesis company are equipped with high definition cameras.
These are used for reading the QR codes but for those who are looking to lock down your anonymity in every way, these might not be so good for that.
Also you should be aware that not every BTC ATM is created equal.
There are two types of BTC ATMs. They can be cash kiosks or proper ATMs. Depending on the type you are working with, the machine might not accept cash deposits and it might not allow you to withdraw cash for your BTC. If this is the case, that particular machine is not a cash kiosk and it is instead a proper ATM meaning it will connect directly to your bank account and you can conduct cashless transactions. Again, depending on your anonymity comfort level, this may or may not work for you.

CoinmarketCap is going to reorganize how they report on your favorite cryptocurrencies:

In response to Bitwise calling out Coinmarketcap.com for reporting false trading volume for Bitcoin and a number of other cryptocurrencies, the website is planning on changing some things up and adding new features that will enable a more transparent view of how things are moving with Bitcoin and other cryptos.
For example, they will be adding new liquidity analytics, reports on hot and cold wallets balances, and site traffic data for exchanges. That last one is important because often times when you compare the amount of volume being reported by an exchange compared to the amount of traffic that exchange sees by actual visitors, there can be quite a disparity between these two figures.
There’s no denying the amount of people who use Coinmarketcap to learn about the status of their favorite coins and I, for one, think it would be great if they could develop a method that more fairly and accurately reports on this kind of activity. Also, I want to note that I appreciate the decision to provide the raw data so that users can make their own judgment calls and learn what to pay attention to instead of the website itself placing its opinions on the data on display.
That being said, are you ready to arm yourself with the knowledge it takes to decipher between the B.S. and the genuine?
Here are some other things to consider when this new format is introduced:
The numbers will make network activity on Bitcoin appear smaller for sure, but more uniformed and honest as well.
What will this do to market sentiment?

Centralized exchanges are great for making quick trades. They are also a great place for hackers to target. In addition to providing a place to trade cryptos, centralized exchanges also provide a place for their users to store their cryptocurrencies. Even though it’s been said time and again that using exchanges to store any cryptocurrency that you are fond of is not a good idea, still lots of people do it. This results in the popular exchanges becoming a honey pot for hackers to target. This has resulted in many people losing lots of money.
