ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਆਯੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਬਾ ਨੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਇੰਨੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਆਯੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਨਾ ਤੜਪ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਕਿਸ ਤੀਬਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮ ਲਕਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ, ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਜੀ ਇਹ ਕੋਈ ਨਵੀਂ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਉਪਾਇਆ
ਪੈਜ ਰਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ॥

ਜੇ ਇਕ ਬੱਚਾ (ਧਰੂ) ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ, ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਧੇਲੇ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਭਗਤ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ। ਬਾਬਾ ਨੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਇਹ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁ ਨੀਂਦ ਦਾ ਝੌਂਕਾ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ, ਅੱਗੋਂ ਜੁਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਦੇ ਹਨ :
ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੀਂਦ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਤਾਂ ਖੂਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ ਮਰਨਾ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਭਗਤ, ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਹੜੀ ਲੀਲ੍ਹਾ ਇਹ ਰੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ। ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਜੀ ਬੜੀ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਬਾਬਾ ਨੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿ��
