I made this for key stage 1 children. French in non-statutory for KS1 so it is very basic, just demonstrating 'bonjour' and 'au revoir'.
I took the pictures and voiced the video. The music is from the old tv show 'allo allo' but the parody element in using that music with this title 'bonjour bonjour' is clear, and of course it is for education, then there should be no copyright issues. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOJzp99cNCk
I found this broken guitar while taking the trash out.
Minor repair job.
Now I have an octave mandolin with an adjustable neck.

So last week I found a smashed guitar in the back alley while looking for my wheely bin. The neck seemed alright aside from a few scrapes.
The box was a shortbread tin from Christmas time, I bought it specifically for the tin with the hope of making an instrument out of it one day.
Inside the box is a rectangle of some unknown salvaged hardwood.
Into this wooden frame are screwed some hinges, which allowed me to connect the parts using simple wood screws, the hinges are held closed by the string tension. The angle of the neck is determined by the size of shim I place between the neck block and body. You can see the end of the shim sticking out slightly if you look closely.

If you are caught short without a bodhrán you can get this cheap alternative. You can learn to play this just like a bodhrán and at a much lower cost.
I am not sponsoered and I did in fact buy this myself. I just find it to be very good value and at this time people might benefit from a little noise making.

I thought I'd re-make the introduction video now that I know somewhat how to play this thing.

Practice jig rhythms with me, as I drum with Niilo Sirola.
Drumming to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3LCIDrcdZ8
I haven't had a proper practice in a while, silly me. Here I'm using the bodhrán I got for free a while back and taped to improve it. Using a heavy ebony wood beater, the very subtle knocks are strikes using the part just below my fingers; essentially on those quiet rim strikes my fingers are nearly touching the drum head.

Got BASS... also got a headphone amp with effects on it plugged into a portable speaker rather than headphones, which is pretty BASED....
What is also BASED is the tune for Oak, Ash and Thorn composed by Peter Bellamy to sing A Tree Song, a poem by Rudyard Kipling.

Hello all,
I just got a hold of this bodhrán for free over Facebook marketplace, so I had a chance to record a before and after of the sound from the same drum.
Sorry if my voice is a bit quiet on this I'm not sure why that is in particular. Ask me anything about bodhrán playing in the comments.
Alternatively you can use electrical tape, if you want a clean circle shape as shown here:
