He fronted Bouncing Off Bob in the 80s, appearing on national college Top 100 charts. In 2005, he returned to music, releasing 3 albums before revisiting his punk and American anthem roots with Jon Caspi & The First Gun. The First Gun's second album was produced by The Bouncing Souls’ guitarist, Pete Steinkopf, & their fourth featured Eddie & The Hot Rods & John Otway guitarist Richard Holgarth. Their third album spawned fan favorite & cult hit, Raise 'Em High!, a 'barroom hooligan' sing-along. During 2020 COVID lockdown legendary WFMU DJ Jonesey, started his now famous 2pm Toast, selecting "Raise Em High!" as the official song (played every Sunday @ 2pm). It's at the center of large Facebook group where folks post selfies toasting each other to the song. That new momentum led to recording a new version out on Fake Chapter Records. Jonesey listener, legendary rocker Jesse Malin (D Generation) sings on it. Alternate Ending Beer Co. released a beer called Raise 'Em High! in 9/22 due to the song. The Aberdeen, NJ mayor signed official proclamation making it official beer of Aberdeen Day. In 2017 Dez Cadena (Black Flag/ Misfits) became a band member & featured on the song.
