Most nutritional supplement companies filler up to 99% of the capsule with inactive ingredients. As I show, when you take multiple capsule per day, you can be consuming several teaspoons worth of these ingredients every day.
They are referred to as excipients, or "fillers". These include silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide (etc) and they function as lubricants, anti-caking agents, and bulking agents.
Research has highlighted some concerning potential side effects of consuming these substances.
Companies insist on using them because they make the manufacturing process faster, and cheaper. But in most scenarios, they are not required. With a bit of extra man-power, supplements can be manufactured without the addition of theses ingredients.

In this video I interview Wendell, who in 2019 was involved in a car accident and suffered spinal trauma. Within the next few month, he would develop strange health issues including: gastroparesis, mast cell activation syndrome, tremors, chronic fatigue, and dysautonomia. He went from 230lbs to 150lbs in weight. After researching what he could do about it, over a 6-7 month period he began implementing a nutrient protocol step-by-step and gradually began to see massive improvements in his symptoms.
Fast forward to today, although he is not in perfect health yet, he is now 80-85% recovered.
