How do you know when you've created great work? I know what I see is great work for me, but I'm interested in how do you know when you've created something that you immediately believe is great? I'm working through Levi Allen's of Leftcoast Media House workshop series on Niching Down to Scale Up. I've titled this series the Discovery Series as I really want to just capture some of my thoughts from his progam and how they have impacted me or made me think about things differently. Yesterday was my friend and co-worker, Sandra's birthday and more importantly perhaps, her last day of chemotherapy. They celebrate that last chemo treatment with a bell ringing ceremony and Sandra had asked if I would come and capture a little bit of the footage. Sometimes people will ask why do you capture these things, or why do you post them when they might not be related to your content or channel and there is a simple answer: It isn't about me. It's about my friend Sandra, and her family, and her friends, and anyone that couldn't be there to enjoy that day. It isn't perfectly edited or shot. It could have a better story perhaps. It's only because I care about her and she asked me. Enough reason for anyone :) Consequently, this was the largest turnout for a bell ringing that the hospital had possibly ever seen.
