This is my new series of vlogs. I am NOT an expert and I do NOT know everything, so what I say in these vlogs is based on my personal experience or research. I have been a visitor to Thailand for 2 years this month (October), I first went on a "last ditch, what the hell" trip following my failed back surgery. I could hardly walk and took my walking aid with me. I went to Udon Thani to go to an Agency for finding Thai ladies, who suggested that my disablement was not a factor in finding a nice lady for long term relationship. The agency allegedly vet the members and a lot of their clients come from America. The owner is an ex-Brit and his wife a Thai, had started the agency because of their experiences with relationships etc.
So, I have a Thai wife and have been going back and forth for two years. During 2015 my wife got a visitor visa and came to the UK for 6 months. Unfortunately the UK Immigration denied a second visa this year based on made up reasons.
THIS EPISODE: Restaurant parking attendants use their torch to guide you in, but apart from that, if you're a good driver, that's all they do usually.
I normally tip 20 baht - sometimes that is all they get paid for keeping order. Upon return they can also open doors and shine the light for the ignition key.

Station Road Travel Vlog: Staple Hill, Bristol
A unique episode as I visit this disused station and tunnel, in Bristol's Victorian suburb on a line closed by Beeching in the 1960's.
Now a cycle path, the route offers many delights for the series.

This video course will be on our Website and also UDEMY where you can enrol and take the course. This episode is a short snippet test example from one of the lessons dealing with motorway driving. Why is it important? Well, for one it will lower your insurance premium for a start. Most larger insurance companies offer a discount if you are an advanced driver (certified through the IAM), which is a separate exam with the Institute of Advanced Motorists. For another, you'll be safer because of your abilities to read the road, other drivers and all that goes with driving these days. Andy passed his test in 1998 and unless you join the Police or pay the earth, there's little chance for training. His experience has been gained over the years, using the principles daily and on more than one occasion, here and abroad, it has saved him from serious crashes caused by others. Is it relevant for foreign people? Of course! While it is aimed at UK roads, the PRINCIPLES can be applied to any country. In the course is footage from his time abroad in Thailand, where the skills were extremely useful. www.trainingthewrightway.co.uk

There are 500+ places of interest in the UK under the National Trust banner and I will be attempting to visit as many as I can, reporting as I do all the
important stuff relative to accessibility.
In this episode, I visit Dunster Castle, near Minehead in North Somerset. A setttlement has been around here for 12,000 years and at one time the castle, high on a hill, had the sea lapping around nearby - now a good couple of miles distant.
The property is "accessible" to wheelchair users who are happy to use the stair climber or to walk up 4 steps at the rear with the limitation of only seeing the ground floor but this is the expected scenario in any case with old properties such as these.
David Moore, Manager, was very accommodating and extremely helpful and indeed all the staff made me feel very welcome.
