Checking out the remains of Kronsegg Castle on a nice day in summer. The stronghold boasts two impressive towers which I both mounted in this video. There are also a lot of rooms which form part of the castle's cellar and dungeon. I tried exploring one of them after entering the fortress but unfortunately the camera wasn't able to handle the darkness very well.
There's an interesting story to this place. According to a local legend the castle once had an evil lord who hoarded a lot of gold. When invaders attacked he fled, leaving his gold in some hidden place somewhere in the dungeons below Kronsegg castle. Neither the evil lord nor his gold were ever seen again...
Anyway, this was a nice little trip and I'm quite satisfied with how the video turned out.

Exploring an old stone quarry in the Austrian city of Bad Vöslau on a beautiful day in early spring. This large old stone quarry has been used as a geological show object for some time. There are several tunnels in this area, some of which are accessible. The rock consists of dolomite, lime slate and dolomite breccia. Access to the slopes is prohibited as the rock is very fragile and therefore life-threatening!
The view from the old stone quarry is very nice. After enjoying the panoramic view, I make may way down to one of the abandoned tunnels of the quarry. Some of these man made caves can be accessed. Going inside is a little bit creepy and I didn't want to stay inside for too long as I didn't fully trust that the rock was stable.
This old stone quarry and the surrounding area are a favorite spot for the locals for hiking. Located right next to Bad Vöslau a lot of people come here. A circular hiking route leads around the quarry. As you can see in the video, the cliffs are very tall and not secured. That's why hikers need to be very careful when exploring the area.

The last few days have been way too nice to spend them inside the house. That's why I decided to escape the COVID-19 quarantine and go for a long, nice walk in the woods.
Sunshine, clean and fresh air, the sounds of a gentle breeze and birds chirping. It was a very relaxing ecperience. So if you are also feeling that you need to escape the quarantine a little bit, join me on this walk!

Zhujiajiao Acient Water Town in Shanghai is ofter called Shanghai's Venice for its many water channels. Out of all water towns in Shanghai Zhujiajiao kept most of its historic appearence that dates back over 1.000 years.
Visitors from all over the world come to experience this special place with its many small rivers and channels, ancient stone bridges, and old houses with courtards. During holiday season it's often packed with people but on the day of my visit I was able to explore its ancient roads freely. Especially if you keep to the back alleys you can explore the town almost on your own.
Tourism being a main source of income, Zhujiajiao Acient Water Town in Shanghai offers plenty of shops and restaurants that cater to their visitors needs. As you can see in this video walk, same of them sell quite the unique stuff.

Laxenburg Park in Austria is a park surrounding the imperial Laxenburg palace just south of the Austrian capital of Vienna. The park is a favorite spot for visitors not just from the city but also from nearby Slovakia and Hungary.
In the video I follow a nice path leading through a sunny forest and along a small lake. Laxenburg palace is located on a small island in the middle of the lake. Since you can only see its interior as part of a paid guided tour I just briefly went inside.
I plan to make another video at the beginning of summer when everything is in full bloom.

Exploring Weissenkirchen in Austria on a wonderfull day in spring. The town is located in the Wachau, a valley along the Danube river which is famous for its fantastic white wines.
In 800, sources mention Weissenkirchen in Austria for the first time. Today, the town is a famous tourist spot. Noteworthy is the magnificent gothic church which gave the town its name (Weissenkirchen = white church). In the video, you can see me going there around the 15:00 mark. You can even hear the organ playing!
Apart from the church there are many other old buildings. The whole town has a very nice medieval atmosphere.
