Blast Beat VR first impressions and Game play footage
Today I'm playing Blast Beat through my Oculus Quest 2 connected wirelessly to my PC using Virtual Desktop and played through Steam VR.
A VR game with great looking enviroments and awesome looking boss like creatures that you battle in a rythm game like style. To be quite honest I don't know what to think of this game.
The graphics and creatures you encounter look awesome for a rythm game and the overall concept is great because the idea itself is unique and a new twist to the rythm game genre. The gameplay and feel of the game felt simplistic however'
I got past that halfway through the 2nd level, but I still get the feeling that this game will wear itself out if they don't dish out more levels with different enviroments or atleast allow the mod community to create their own.
The game itself is pretty solid the hit detection is good and I did not notice any glitches or bugs while playing this game. The game has 6 different enviroments to play in but each level you play is short in length. Still though I managed to burn 102 calories with my heart rate somewhere at 100 to 110 beats per minute in 14 minutes of play on easy and I was gasping for air after each level. I did mostly do arm movements except when I swung my arms around or did squats when the time came to attack the creatures directly. I don't know what to think of this game at this point in time I guess I'll let you know in 2 weeks if I'm still playing it or not in the comments below.
Blast Beat is on sale til January 20th for $15.99 so right now would be the best time to grab it. This game is available through Steam for the PC and the link will be below

This shows the wild west campaign that was added by Cloud Head games the makers of Pistol Whip. This add on has a wild west themed campaign that was added to the game for free a couple of weeks ago. This game is a good workout because you have to dodge bullets, Squat, and move left and right to dodge bullets and obstcles that get in your path.
I skipped the cinematic dialogue segments so that I don''t ruin it for the peeps out there that hate spoilers. This is another game that I don't have in my normal workout routine but come back to it repeatedly.
This was just a quick run on easy to see if how far I can make it without dying.

The game I'm playing is Knockout which is available on Oculus Quest / Quest 2, Playstation VR, and PC on through the Steam Store or the Oculus Rift Store. Contrary to what I said in the video this game does help you burn a good amount of calories but it's designed more to help out with your reflexes.
You punch the red balloons with your red glove and blue balloons with your blue glove. You block the basketballs and dodge the dumbells.

In this video I'm playing Beat Saber songs on BoxVR. BoxVR the PC version of FitXR has a custom song generator. So I decided to feed it some Beat Saber Songs. 4 of the songs I play the most from list of songs that originally came with the Game when it first released. I played this on my Oculus Quest connected wirelessly to my PC using Virtual Desktop and Steam VR.
Directions
You click on workouts
Then My Workouts
then select a playlist or create a new one
then click on the music note icon
Then click on files and browse for the folder that contains your music files and select song (this part takes a while) when it's done the song will be displayed on your playlist.

Just an experiment which helped me burn alot of calories. Blade and Sorcery Nomad played on my Oculus Quest 2 or should I say Meta Quest 2. I also used Slow motion or more correctly put Focus. It's not considered a workout but it still burns calories while having fun.
