On December 17, the last day before Congress evacuated for their home districts, Democrats sponsored House Resolution 569. It not only condemned violence and bigotry against Muslims, but urged the Justice Department to find a way to prosecute those of us who are raising the alarm. Talk about a chilling effect on the 1st Amendment! They should be ashamed of themselves – but they are not. 73 members signed on. I think it is safe to assume that they all are Democrats and probably the very ones most worthy of being replaced in the coming elections. I know the chief sponsor is Don Beyer, a super wealthy car dealer from northern Virginia. He represents THE most left wing congressional district in Virginia, the 8th. Byer’s exact opposite was Frank Wolf, who represented my District - the 10 Congressional district - for 34 years and consistently pulled in large majorities of both conservatives and liberals. So let’s call these guys the “Deadly 73” and see how many of the we can retire this coming November. I’ve included just the sections of HR 569 that are the guts of this resolution, and will comment accordingly: “… the House of Representatives – 1. expresses its condolences for the victims of anti-Muslim hate crimes:” Hmmm, 2,752 Americans died in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks in New York. Since then, 89 have been killed in 48 acts of Islamic terror attacks or honor killings in America. During that entire time, only on one Muslim has been killed in revenge. Waqar Hasan, a Texas convenience story owner was gunned down by white supremacist Mark Stroman. Stroman was tried and sentenced to death in a Texas court. So, the current score in Muslim vs anti-Muslim deaths is 2,996 to one. Have these same Democrats passed a similar resolution condemning anti-Christian hate crimes? I doubt it. That wouldn’t suit their political agenda. Paragraph “#3. denounces in the strongest terms the increase of hate speech, intimidation, violence, vandalism, arson, and other hate crimes targeted against mosques, Muslims, or those perceived to be Muslim;“ Not even close in moral equivalence. Christians don’t believe in revenge. Jesus taught us to turn the other cheek. And now here comes the bad one. Paragraph “6. urges local and Federal law enforcement authorities to work to prevent hate crimes; and to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law those perpetrators of hate crimes….” When I read this, I took it very personally. Am I now going to prosecuted on some sort of trumped-up charges because everyone around me is now fearful that the Muslim invasion that is sweeping across Europe will come here next? We’ve already seen one woman beheaded in this country. Even though we know that this was the deliberate intent of ISIS --namely to instill this fear in us by the unbelievable spectacle of public beheadings in the 21st century! When I was a kid, I would NEVER have believed that this would ever be possible in the United States. So here is my question, will the Feds now come after me for asking the following? Will moderate, peaceful Muslims help put a stop to the terror side of Islam? Or should we mistrust all Muslims? I have yet to see much effective opposition other than a couple of signs out in front of the White House. Convince me, ye peaceful adherents of Allah. I want to see a million anti-ISIS Muslim march on the Mall in Washington. I want to see 10,000 peaceful Muslims surrounding every radical mosques with protest signs, merely to make it impossible for those going to mosque not to see their quiet, yet determined opposition. If this stance lands me in jail, it will be a dark day in the United States of America. Number “7. reaffirms the inalienable right of every citizen to live without fear and intimidation, and to practice their freedom of faith.” Well, that goes for us Christians too, Oh Deadly 73! Keep in mind that the current score is 2,996 to one. And the “1” side is scared as hell of the 2,996 side, at this point. I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.

Hilarious -- but honest -- rant from a black grandmother on C-SPAN.

As Hillary Clinton’s poll numbers continue their steady decline, some of her biggest supporters in years past for the Clinton Foundation are running for the exits. Five of the giant corporate sponsors of last year’s annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative have backed out of this year’s meeting. The meeting will take place next weekend without the support of Samsung, ExxonMobile, accounting firm Price-Waterhouse-Coopers, and big banks Deutsche Bank, and the 4th largest bank, the British banking conglomerate HSBC. Hewlett-Packard, which just announced another major round of layoffs, will end its cash donations and provide an in-kind contribution only to the meeting. Monsanto has cut back its donation. Dow Chemical’s name is also missing from this year’s donor list. Politicians worldwide are jumping ship as well. Last year’s event brought 8 national leaders, kings, presidents and prime ministers. This year, only leaders from Columbia and Liberia will be attending. Even prominent Obama administration officials have abandoned this year’s event. Big corporate names still supporting the Clinton’s event are Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, clothes retailer – Gap; Barclays Bank, Coke, Proctor & Gamble, and Cisco. As one commentator put it: “The karma bus has stopped at the Clinton’s doorstep!” I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.
