IceCube and NWA (Neutrinos With Abnormally high energies)
The IceCube telescope is the largest neutrino observatory in the world, and after years of observing random neutrinos from all over the sky, one event has been traced back to a blazar in another galaxy. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBRmB6yz1Ao
I've managed to get a copy of the demo Egosoft produced this for Gamescom 2013, it covers about 10 minutes of the combat mechanics, visual effects and some absolutely beautiful scenery. Obviously this is only scratching the surface of this game, but it does let me get an idea of how well it runs on my graphics card - a 2 year old Radeon HD6850 - and the answer is, rather well.
Egosoft are still polishing the game, and I imagine there will be tweaks to audio and graphics by the time of the final release 2 months from now.

THIS TUTORIAL IS VERY OLD. THE DESIGN WORKS BUT NEEDS SOLAR PANELS
New version for KSP 1.2.1

Following up to my previous tutorial for new pilots, this covers the construction of a rocket and lander that can go to another world. I get a lot of requests for a beginners guide to landing on the Mun, but for rookie pilots I strongly suggest heading to Minmus instead. Although it's a smaller target and requires more maneuvering in space to get there you can perform these maneuvers without risking the entire missions if you make a mistake. The target itself has lower gravity than the Mun so landing is more forgiving, and it also has nice flat areas to make the landing easy. Finally, because of the lower fuel requirements you can use a smaller rocket so launch is easier.
This tutorial covers:
Building a rocket capable of the mission.
Getting to Orbit
Transferring to the target body
Entering Orbit
Landing
Return

An exclusive look at a forthcoming enhancements to the atmospheric effects in Kerbal Space Program. We've got used to the reentry heating effect and the approximation of the Prandtl-Glauert singularity (mach effects), but under the right conditions there's a third class of effect which is now modelled - the Sloof Mode Singularity.

Objects in Space is a cross between Elite and a submarine simulator with a Modempunk style. It does all the usual space trading and space combat tropes, but adds in sensor analysis, stealth, torpedos and countermeasures as core mechanics. It's currently early access but has a lot to offer in its current form.

Continuing the rocket development, I figure out the rest of the rocket, and then perform a successful munar round trip, unfortunately a malfunction during launch means that we don't want to try landing.

Canada developed the remote manipulator system for the Space Shuttle program, this was an essential piece of hardware for many missions even though it wasn't always flown. It would be enhanced over time, and when the International Space Station began development Canada were again called upon to develop and build a new generation of the arm.

Orbiter is a free spaceflight simulator, it's got much more detail on the actual flying and vehicles than KSP, but lacks the building and real time rigid body physics that provide so much entertainment in KSP. But if you want to experience real spacecraft then it's probably a better choice
Orbiter is developed by Martin Schweiger and can be downloaded for free from http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/
The Vostok Plugin I use is by Igel it supports all of the Vostok missions - including the ones with animals as passengers.

This was primarily another test, but there's a few cool things that happen (and a lot of rubbish things). I've tweaked the encoding settings to make it cope better with my terrible 1.5mbit upload speed.
