Day 1's ending crash broke an arm off. The stills show my (lack of?) jury-rigging skills out in the field. I didn't bring any spare anything, so had to make due with a chunk of steak knife and later a length of fiberglass rod chopped off an arrow shaft, which was the best I could find at Walmart to put this thing back in the air before the sun set for the weekend. It worked well enough to have the fun I set out to have while I was doin my boonie yo. Bonus... I had the rest of the arrow to tape an 808 cam onto, so I played with that a bit fer shitzn'gigglz.

@2:40 A second, faster flight seems to benefit a bit more from this processing. YouTube eats up a ton of the quality and introduces strange temporal echoing, so overall it's not worth the 4 additional hours of CPU time. I don't have an "Insta360 GO" camera, so I can't tell if this could be of solid benefit to the original video, strait out of the camera. It matters a lot where in the chain of video production; at what step the AI upscaling is done. TL's VEAI seems to use a lot of edges and other characteristics of video that aren't perceptible by human eyes. Heavy video compression removes this imperceptible information, especially as the bitrate gets lower. The resolution seems to matter a lot less than the blockiness of the encoding; after all this technology was adapted from still image techniques.

6045 Gemfan ABS props... actually flyable; cooperative with my inputs. So the battery is on top, which means that it'll fall upside down, yet every frame design makes the top frame thinner, as well as having fragile things like antennas on top. Definitely room for improvement. All I could do given the weather that weekend.

The board mask was covering a bit more copper "+" pad, with vias... so I sand-papered it off and used 22awg... and welders to fix it without a total rebuild (I direct-soldered the motor wires; would've been grr). I screwed around with tuning... anyone get flutter with Kabab's suggested tune from the build guide?
I gotta pack the lab up, more later.
