Exploring Muharram Kolkata 2017.
In this country people are very much fond of celebrations. Everybody loves to eat and drink and dance and laugh loud with their family and friends. Thats good. But why its always gathered by police, because its huge and religious one. The same thing happens in Durga Puja and Christmas as well.
I dont think police has been only assigned for controlling the crowd. There's other conflicts.

Once a wise man says,''What Bengal thinks today,India discovr tomorrow.'' Bjp also knows it very well to attract Bengali vote they have to play the emotion card.
Bengal has been deprived in many ways in political scenario. People have strong feelings for their fellow heroes. So in the recent times we have seen how Bjp is trying to convince people to trust them. Bjp is trying to play the image card of Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. In this video we explained how they are doing it.

The clever strategy was to use Hanuman Puja on Noboborsho (which this year was directly after Ramnavami) as a way of roping in young men to work together for a common cause in each neighbourhood and village across the state.
With the puja came the flags, with the slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram’ which was a direct connection to Modi. These were widely available and people stuck them on their houses and on their motorcycles. Thus, Hanuman Puja has been an effective cover to attract and consolidate the support of new members. Even Trinamool workers could not protest about a puja being conducted.

'Material Moksha' would be the accurate phase if you ask me about my experience and feelings about the festival of Shivratri. I tried to explore Nimtala Shamshan Ghat but couldn't at the end point, cause the crowd was so crazy that it was not even possible to hold a camera. At that particular time I was the only one there having a camera and shoot everything around.
People were drunk and doped and crazy animals. In the name of rituals, festive season most of the people were abusing the true form of a holy festival. A drunken man tried to push my camera off and shouted on me to talk to someone over the phone. I somehow managed to get escape.
Little girls wearing saree worships for getting a good husband. Fuk here you demoralize the base education of a girl child. And the surprising fact is most of the girls looks like from good families.
There were snake charmers abusing each other as the business was down. The crowd was full of young boys in between 20 and 30s. They were crazy drunken and doped.
In short it was a clumsy chaos and the funny part is people were trying to find their god there. Doing fun in festival is something and behaving like a overdosed druggist is something else.
In the name of god and religion this is pure abuse of culture and social balance. Festivals are for enlightenment of soul and purifying heart. Festivals are for relaxant and fun. And that was no fun boy.
Shivratri is a sacrad festival. It must not organized this way. May be I am wrong, may be this is the way it is getting held every year from a long long time. But I still dont agree with the chaos and a scary situation.

| The usual Kolkata- a vivid recollection |
Record fall of Indian Rupee, 68.8/dollar, the biggest fall after the economic liberalisation of India. And the so called lady Gandhi has just taken another historical step 'the food security bill' for aam admi. Yeah she will feed them mango only. And we suckers will suck as usual. I dont have knowledge about core economics, neither I am a NEP guy, I just dont understand one thing, if the GDP and related stuffs are going well, if one of the greatest economists of this country is our PM, then why such goddamn condition. Its nothing but the result of corruption. The greatest advantage of democracy is you can raise your voice. Hell man thats what we are doing for the last 67 years. Just barking and barking and barking and barking. Go bite suckers.
crap that was just a part of monologue. Old habits die hard. However I dont write blogs anymore. Dont even go to any social sites and raise my voice for socialisation. The old habit of knocking on heavens door lying on hell.
Anyways thats not the part of my story. But see, how well it just matched with the present scenario. My experiment about the echoes of pain in the city of joy meets my all gratification level. It was tough enough to complete the whole project alone. From the basic concept to the camera work and editing, everything was done by me only. I have tried out some of the whole new thing like the time-lapse photography and motion ( the setting sun scene ), colour correction, gorilla shooting etc. I didn't find accurate shots harmonizing with the actual scripts thats why some of the scenes remained blurry. Specially the chicken scene. According to the script, it was about the abusive idol of humanism. Phew most of the typical vegetarian will surely support me.
Now the only material which I dont own in this film is the background score. The only reason is I cant play any instruments and dont have the strength to assign a composer. The whole project is made on zero budget without any helping hand. So plz ignore my ignorant mistakes. I have plans to produce instrumentals. Just need some time, a year or more than that. Cumon it needs some time to learn something.

we are responsible for our own deeds. People forgives. forgets. But nature is rude. Forests still cover about 30 percent of the world’s land area, but they are disappearing at an alarming rate. Between 1990 and 2016, the world lost 502,000 square miles (1.3 million square kilometers) of forest, according to the World Bank—an area larger than South Africa. Since humans started cutting down forests, 46 percent of trees have been felled, according to a 2015 study in the journal Nature. About 17 percent of the Amazonian rainforest has been destroyed over the past 50 years, and losses recently have been on the rise.
