Benefits of a Slide Racker in USPSA
I've resisted getting a slide racker on my USPSA Open Division pistol for a few years now. Didn't really see the need for it, until I shot a few major matches. There's always one or two stages that required you to load the gun while on the clock and I've always struggled with it. Racking my slide by pinching it is not the most efficient way to do it and always makes me nervous doing it.
So during the winter downtime I consulted with John from JPL Precision, my gunsmith, and he figured out a way to install it on my gun.
And O.M.G. what a different the racker makes. Now I feel a lot more confident while loading on the clock. Getting the racker installed also made me think about the other mods I used to have on my gun and went about streamlining everything. This made everything lighter, improved the balance of the gun and made gun handling easier.

Week #38. Another new USPSA stage this week, from the Area One 2017 Championships called No Support. I've also implemented a night mode for the main menu to correspond to your actual local day/night cycle. There were issues with the custom stage scoring too that were rectified.

WTF is all i can say about my shooting performance. Here's my list of excuses: hurt by strong hand a week before, new trigger fitted but not tuned, no practice, blah blah blah.
The match was super fun though! lots of steel, fast movements and that one stage where we shot from a moving Gator! so bloody fun. Thanks to the Custer Mooseketeers for setting up this match.

Week #31. After much cajoling by the community over the past few months, I've relented and implemented Waypoint locomotion. Now you can specify waypoints during the stage using the GRIP button, then after the buzzer, hold down GRIP for more than 1s to instantly teleport to the next waypoint. That way you can plan your stage positions before starting, and move through the stage without messing with trackpad or teleporting locomotion styles. Give it a shot and let me know how it works. I'm surprised to say that I'm pretty impressed with the playability of it.

This was a bad one. For some reason, none of the 14 stages clicked for me. Kept doing stupid stuff, or shooting extra shots because I was sloppy. Nothing much to say here but, "on to the next" :)
