The mini quad is dead, but it's parts aren't - so a few pieces of wood later and she's back in the air.
Obviously, there is a lot of tuning to do - or examination to take place - just to establish where this wobble is coming from, but so far the results aren't bad. If I can get this flying smoothly, then I'll be very happy ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2fIZ4iznss
I'm calling this the "false" ending to Saints Row. You trigger it by killing off all the other gangs and taking over all the territories. It shows the credits after the ending, but it does give 3 additional missions that then trigger another endings - see the other clip. This is the ending to Paper Mario on the N64 (not to be confused with Paper Mario: The thousand Year door on the Gamecube). Due to the length of the ending, this video is in 3 parts. More information about this and other endings at http://www.game-endings.co.uk

I apologise if this isn't the most exciting video ever produced, for this testing I wanted a simple space, and one without long grass, as trying to find this little quad in it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I don't think I've been this worried about crashing in my life, although this quad started out as a "don't care if I crash it", the amount of time I put into refining it means I do care quite a lot, so some *really* gentle flying to start out with today, and no real madness.
I'm very happy with the performance, it's flying really nicely. Yep, there's some wobbles, but a little gust of wind is enough to upset something this small a bit. I was very happy with it's hover and more gentle flying aspects, I've got 3 different rates on my radio for different types of flying, and the calm setting works nicely.
People often ask me questions about how this quad was build, so for those interested in the exact specifics, the rx I'm using is here http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=24788&aff=663923
The quad is a modified version of the HobbyKing micro Quad that you can get here http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=27899&aff=663923

This summer we're staying in the UK (until the winter at least) so took our caravan and drove it to Wales and broke up the journey on the way back with a stop at Tewkesbury.
In between climbing up 3 mountains, and getting a lot of healthy outdoorsy stuff in, I managed a few flights with my trusty Flyingwings.co.uk Falcon wing - which is really great for travelling with, it's nice and flat and sits on the parcel shelf.
The 250-sized K-Quad is just small so it goes anywhere
Would have loved to have got some more flights in, but there's a family/flying balance here, so I was happy to get in my quick fix of FPV and have a great time with the family as well :)
Thanks to my wife who did the external shots, spotted for me, and even picked this music.

This is the "Blooper Reel" in Silent Hill, which is common to all the normal endings. If you've seen the opening FMV of silent hill, you'll see it's a direct parody of that. This was taken from the PSX verision, but captured using an emulator on a PC.

This is the ending from the Xbox 360 game Halo 3 on Legendary difficulty... happily (unlike Halo 2) there is a small but significant difference between the legendary ending and the others. The credits have been cut form the video so that it meets YouTube critera for the length of a single clip.

This type of quad seems to be quite popular at the moment, so I was very pleased to get my hands on an iFlight model, the Green Hornet. Let's see how it fares in this first video before I can go outside and test it in a larger environment.
This quad was kindly supplied by Banggood for review, so please use this (affiliate) link to take a look at the full product details https://www.banggood.com/IFlight-Green-Hornet-3Inch-CineWhoop-4S-FPV-Racing-RC-Drone-SucceX-E-Mini-F4-Caddx-EOS2-p-1634131.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=cussku&utm_content=tanghao&utm_campaign=wayne
Really, the quad should have come with a GoPro mount as well, but you can at least get one that fits (which is better than the regular sticky mount I used. This one also includes an ND8 filter https://www.banggood.com/IFlight-Green-Hornet-FPV-Racing-Drone-3D-Printed-TPU-Camera-Mount-for-Gopro-Hero-5-6-7-p-1658656.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=cussku&utm_content=tanghao&utm_campaign=wayne

I had great fun taking the Sector132 out again to try flying around the trees. I was really happy with the live view I was getting from the Tarsier and both control and FPV signal held up really well. This is a bit of a raw footage thing - a section of each of the 4 lipos I took, and from 3 locations, so I didn't have much time to learn any lines or anything - I was just going out, exploring (occasionally getting a bit lost) and had one crash into a flower :D

The music BTW is "Swimming Pool" by Freezepop - who you might be familiar with if you've ever played any Harmonix rhythm action games. Good time for me to drop in my Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/currykitten I'm trying to reach 50 followers so my friend, Jack, stops harassing me about it... so feel free to follow me !

Here's my flights of the blunt nose versa wing. I built this out of 3 pieces of A1 foamboard (From Hobbycraft in the UK) from the Flite test plans that we downloaded, which Neil kindly got printed for me in a single piece so I didn't have to join little bits of A4 together.
Sadly, I came to start to hate this plane before I flew it. At first I built it meticulously, and then when I discovered that a normal 2200 wouldn't fit in the nose section, and even if they did it wouldn't balance, I started to get wound up.
Out came the knife and holes were cut for 2 lipos in the side of the wing. I was using a KK2 to test stabalisation (which I never got to test) and that needed extra holes cutting to fit the wire in.
This eventually balanced out about right with a 1.3A 3s in the nose, so if you were putting on a GoPro instead it would be about right.
A combination of the turn into the downwind section - and my evident lack of skill when flying LOS killed this one. But it was actually huge amounts of fun to actually fly, there's something about having low expectations that give even this short flight a lot of fun.
