There's so much more to the Blues Turnaround than people may realize. First, it leads to intense chromatic movement in Blues improvisations. Secondly, it's sly embedded into all sorts of non-Blues music, Pop, Rock, Jazz, etc.

So much to be said about this performance. First, I implanted two classic Beatles licks during the course of the song. This is a Where's Waldo kind of thing. See if you can find them! 'On Broadway,' for us, has always been open-ended in terms of the arrangement of the song. Basically, we turn it into a 'jam band' song and do whatever strikes in the moment. In some of our older performances, we morphed the song into 'Tequila' and the Kinks' 'You Really Got Me.' There's a nice little jam toward the end of this particular version. The general rule for this one is, 'go nuts, guys!'
