http://CollisionBlast.com - When performing a weld, fiberglass filler should be applied to the weld location to prevent moisture form attacking the metal. One the fiberglass filler is applied and sanded, body filler can be applied over the fiberglass to finish shaping the repair.
We finished welding the quarter panel on the 66 Mustang and now we are grinding the weld location and preparing the repair to apply the fiberglass filler. Once the filler dries and is sanded, we will start the body filler work.
