Shooting review of H&R's Handi-Rifle in .300 AAC Blackout. A very compact, light weight, single-shot rifle that's threaded 5/8-24 and is awesome with a suppressor.
Big thanks to Kentucky Gun Co (www.kygunco.com) for loaning me this rifle to test. I'm going to be keeping this one! KYGunCo has 'em in stock and their price is excellent.
Kris from Kel-Tec shows off the new CMR-30 at SHOT Show 2015. It's a super compact, extremely lightweight, .22 Magnum rifle that takes the same 30-round magazines as the PMR-30.

Hitting the range with the easy to rack, easy to load, easy to shoot M&P380 Shield EZ from Smith & Wesson. *** Also available without a manual thumb safety *** It's more or less an M&P Shield, but it's internal hammer fired, shoots .380 ACP, and has a soft recoil spring for an extremely easy to manipulate slide. It shoots super soft and flat. Plus, there are thumb pegs on the magazine follower to aid really easy loading. Pretty sweet pistol for anyone with limited grip / hand / forearm strength, whether that's small women, seniors, people with arthritis, etc. etc...

Taurus PT 738 Review Here: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/05/daniel-zimmerman/gun-review-taurus-738-tcp/
I put 106 rounds through the Cobra CA380 -- http://www.cobrapistols.net/product-freedom-series-ca.asp -- and am happy to report that it works! Most of the time. Not the most reliable pistol I've shot but far from the worst. I'm going to polish the feed ramp and that should help with feeding, but I think the primary cause of stoppages has been ejection related. The extractor may need some 'tuning,' but I think the design of having it right on top pulling the case up and out the top isn't the best idea, really... working against gravity and such. The gun DID work 100% held sideways gangsta style haha
Hey, EVERYBODY has a right to self defense and it has nothing to do with your budget. Attempted bans on "Saturday Night Specials" are nothing more than class warfare, saying that poor people cannot be trusted with or allowed to have firearms. If you need to protect your home or family and you want a pistol for that purpose, the Cobra here is the cheapest one on the market and it won't blow up in your face. I would recommend shooting *at least* four or five magazines worth through it to make sure it's functioning properly and you know how to use it before trusting it on any level for defensive purposes (normally that recommendation would be much higher, but we're assuming you're on a super tight budget here). It's heavy for its size, poorly finished, and ugly as sin but it works.
BUT... again... I think the Taurus PT 738 TCP is *THE* best .380 mouse gun on the market at any price. And it's $199. If you're on a tight budget but can save up and get the Taurus instead of the ~$105 Cobra, do it. If you have more money than you know what to do with and want a micro .380, I *still* recommend the Taurus. Compared to the Cobra, it weighs HALF as much (10.2 oz), is smaller and sleeker, is totally reliable with basically any ammo, holds one more round, has an amazing trigger, and is MUCH more pleasant to shoot. CCI's new COPPER-22 does a claimed 1,850 fps! We put that to the test as well as shoot some accuracy groups and blow up fruit, veggies, soda cans, and even IIIA body armor with these 21 grain lead-free projectiles. What better choice for your bug out bag or for the zombie apocalypse than a super lightweight, semi-auto pistol that holds 30 rounds?!?! The Kel-Tec PMR30 fits the bill here with 30 rounds of .22 magnum on tap, in a package that only weighs 1.2 pounds fully loaded! Decent accuracy and solid velocity from that .22 WMR round, with many bullet types and weights to choose from for everything from personal defense to varmint and small animal hunting. Lots of carbines and rifles are chambered for this round, which can make for a great combo. You can easily carry many hundreds of rounds of spare or loaded ammo with you. One great thing about .22 mag is that it's common enough to be readily available but unpopular enough that it doesn't disappear from the shelves during crazy ammo buying panics.
Overall, this is a really fun gun to shoot and it can be handy for lots of different uses! Oh yeah! It's hard to beat something like this for having fun on the shooting range. Two weird, but super fun configurations from Heritage Manufacturing's Rough Rider and Barkeep 22 LR single action revolver lineup! More at Shooting News Weekly.

The Liberty Mystic suppressor can be used on a huge range of calibers and firearms, and we'll try to get a bunch of different guns on camera to see what they sound like with the can. In this video, we test out an old Western Field (likely from the Sears or Wards catalog) bolt action .22 rifle that was made prior to 1968. This rifle did not have a threaded barrel, but my AWESOME gunsmith, Nick of http://hctcfirearms.com/, turned down the barrel and threaded it for me. The job is 100% absolutely perfect and looks completely factory.
Now I just have to find some more sub-sonic .22 LR! Although I have a brick of Super Colibri, that ammo is quiet and sub-sonic because it has almost no gunpowder in it. Primer only, basically. What I need is more ammo that has gunpowder so it's reaching normal power levels and pressures and such, but has a super heavy bullet so it simply doesn't break the speed of sound. Gotta be something close to that out there! The Aguila that I shot in this video is close, but it's a lighter-than-usual load. Their Sniper Sub Sonic would be perfect... if only .22 was available anywhere these days!
