After triggering a flashback that showed N in the Chargestone Cave via Memory Link feature, his Pokémon will be released and scattered all over Unova. After capturing Zekrom, return to the Giant Chasm where Ghetsis left his cane behind and you’ll see Kyurem there. Save your game before you interact. Kyurem is on Level 70. Its signature move is Glaciate, a move that attacks the opposing team and lowers their Speed stat. Dusk Balls would be recommended since you’re battling in a cave. After capturing Kyurem, Bianca and Cheren will check on your progress. The DNA Splicers will be on the ground for you to take and you can change forms of Kyurem, which requires Zekrom or Reshiram in your team.

Save your game before you interact. Registeel is on Level 40. It has a move called Superpower, which inflicts great damage but also lowers the user’s own Attack and Defense stats. Keep using Ultra Balls if you have any left.

Striaton City’s gym has panels on the floor that you must press that is super effective against the drawing on the curtains to open them. After beating the trainers and opening the curtains, you’ll take on one of the 3 Waiter Brothers. Depending on your starter, you’ll face just one of them. If you start with Snivy, you’ll face off against Chili with a Pansear. If you start with Tepig, you’ll take on Cress equipped with a Panpour. If you start with Oshawott, you’ll battle Cilan who has a Pansage. After winning, you’ll receive the Trio Badge along with a TM83 (Work Up). Work Up raises the user’s Attack and Special Attack stats. Unlike the previous generations, TMs can now be used more than once and will never dispose when you teach your Pokémon moves.

Crasher Wake has an improved team with Water type Pokémon. Sharpedo will strike first using Aqua Jet and use Night Slash for critical hits. Quagsire will use Yawn to make opponents fall asleep the next turn along with Stone Edge for critical hits. Floatzel will use Brine when opponents have half their HP. Gyarados will use Avalanche to do more damage if it receives damage the same turn. Ludicolo will use Ice Beam to freeze targets and Focus Blast against tougher foes. Moves like Giga Drain and Thunderbolt are good moves for this round.
