RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 - Country Pursuits | Gold Medal Mission #55
Gold medal playthrough of the Red Dead Redemption 2 mission "Country Pursuits".
Gold medal requirements:
- Return Jules to the skiff within 1 minute 40 seconds
- Shoot the Bullgator 5 times
TIP: The only part that matters is the gameplay at the end when saving Jules and shooting the Bullgator. Shooting the Bullgator is easy, you don't need help with that. But with Jules it's a different story. After you jump into the water to save him, the gator will grab him again. This time he will randomly surface somewhere in the yellow zone. If he randomly surfaces slightly too far from you, there is no way you'll get the gold medal. You have no control over this, however you can influence it more often than not. Do that by doing this: the moment he's taken under the water, continue to wade toward the north of the compass. He can randomly spawn east or west, so wading directly north puts you in the middle of his potential spawn zone. If you're lucky, whether he spawns east or west, he'll spawn closer rather than further. Just be sure to get to him as fast as you can and get back to the boat as fast as you can. But yes, wade north, always north!

The WANTED: Blood Cleaver bounty is a 540 level adventure. I was 500 during this, making it very hard hitting. Unfortunately it didn't help that I did it after being awake for nearly 20 hours straight. My aim was out and I was tired, so boy did I struggle. I also didn't quite know what would spawn when, which made it all a bit of a panic-based guessing game.
I'd really like to have a shot at this again and do it much faster and easier now that I have a better idea of what the mission is about, but alas, it's a one-off bounty adventure so I'll have to wait until sometime in the future.
Still, even though I feel I wasn't playing well during this, I think at LL500 it's not the easiest of missions whether you're off your game or not. Thought I'd still post the vid because who knows, maybe if you watch it you'll get some ideas on how to solo it better than I did.

I had a lot of requests asking me to show gameplay with my Justice Ministry dual sword build:

So here we are.
All the gameplay featured is in NG+. I don't use sloth on any boss at all. Also, many of the enemies, including bosses and revenants, were up to 120 levels above me.
It should be pointed out that I'd been doing some respeccing testing other builds before I went back to this to make a montage for the people that asked for it. In doing so, I completely forgot to pick up a couple of my Ninjutsu Dashing and Cloudrunner perks, so my ki isn't near as good as it would be if I'd followed my own build video. No need to call me an idiot, I already did that for you.
Also, I was upgrading a set of non-justice ministry set gloves to get the inheritable attack value at max familiarity so I can use it in a future armor set build I'll probably make, so my attack potential was also down by about +17. I was also down about 14.6% yokai damage because I was wearing a Yakasani Magatama to compensate for not having the full armor set on, and the magatama didn't have any good attack perks on it. So yeah, my ki and attack is a little weaker than the build I posted, but the difference is minor to the point where I barely noticed until half way through making the video.
