You know Hat Creek is a pretty nice No Frills, full hookups, RV Park that was at just the right distance from our last stay to make for a more relaxing drive. It sure is nice to get to your destination for the day and not feel whooped! We are smack dab in the middle of Texas Oil Country with vast flat open spaces and lots of Oil. We unhooked for the night then took our time in the morning to get back on the road, remember No hurry, no worries. Today’s drive will get us back down on to the I-10 and eventually into Van Horn. Our destination is the Southern Star RV, which should be another overnighter. About another 3 ½ hour drive. I’m lovin it… We do see lots of heavy oil field equipment on the road and have you ever seen a 28 wheel rig? Well, we do pass one that looked fully loaded. Also, there are several breakdowns on our route, not to mention Duststorms and a lot of wind, mostly head on though. Travel safe! 103° Ha, Than’s nothing… Today it’s 115° and forecast to break new records… Yea, it’s a bit toasty in here! The last few details are being addressed, and one of those is recharging the “Soft Water “ canister. Something we do about every 3 or 4 weeks. We are really pleased with our portable system. It really helps protect the plumbing and provides us with more comfort in the rig, as well as letting me wash the rig and truck without those horrid water spots from this mineralized well water. We’ll explain our fuel situation with our 7KW generator and show you our latest graphics added to the driver's side of the RV. The road is calling, Next week is the target, and season 4 will begin.
