We would get together at my house and bang out covers to “Last Kiss” and “When September Ends”, I played the drums back then. We both played our first live show at the age of 15 with our first band Skalibrated. Vasco started out at the age of 13 playing drums in the basement of his building, having started his first band “Barefoot” with some childhood friends as well, and played his first show at 14 on the same stage we would a couple of years later. Tanaka started out at 15 on the guitar and played shows with his first band “Cidadellica” at the age of 16. He switched to the bass when he joined Layover. Vasco, António and I got together back in 2011 as “Unwanted Heroes”, and have played together since then, and with Rui’s entrance in September of 2014 we officially became “Layover”. About The Video: Recently we wrapped up our first studio album and for the past couple of months have been thinking of ways to work around our biggest problem. How to get it into your hands. We have worked hard for a long time and put everything we had into making this album. So many people have gone above and beyond for us and we would like to be able to have something to show for it. We are only one small step away from the finish line and we need you to give us that final nudge. Making this video has placed us in all kinds of strange situations like having our drummer Vasco fight a crocodile, or having our singer Alex address a press room in a blazer and underwear.
