The war in the Balkans continued to press on, with all current Axis members present in the conflict. With Romania out of the way and officially capitulated, Greece, Hungary, and Italy unleashed their full might on warring against Yugoslavia. With much of western Yugoslavia captured, the Greeks pushed onward to Belgrade, swiftly taking territories day by day until late October, when they reached the outskirts of the Serbian city. On the 26th of October, Greek forces advanced and captured Belgrade, the Yugoslav capital, and with that, the Serban generals and political executives issued surrender and capitulated to the Axis forces the following day. By next week, German forces pressed their advance further into Poland, finally capturing the Polish capital of Warsaw by midnight of the 4th of November. The Polish government issued a surrender and capitulated, seeing to the complete surrender of the rest of the Międzymorze faction. The spoils of war did not go in favor of either the Hungarians or the Greeks that participated, barely getting anything from after the resolution of the Treaty of Grodno. The Greek government issued a striking display of disapproval of getting any territories they captured and were under their control. Most of what they captured was annexed by the Italian Empire, and this presumably led to the Greek government issuing new laws to prevent them from getting involved in wars that the Axis might get themselves into. With the coming setback, Kosmidis, the Greek dictator, set his eyes to the east, wanting to continue with the fascist party's plans for Greek expansion into Turkey. This plan resembled the "Megali Idea", which was a heavily nationalistic idea that would fully establish a Greek state that would involve all ethnically Greek populations, especially those located in western Turkey. The Greek government began their plans on one of the most crucial and horrifyingly difficult expansion plans they've made since the failed Greco-Turkish War of 1919. Not pleased with the expanding power of the Axis, the USSR decided to intervene with the poor state of affairs and declared war against Germany, swiftly invading the Reichskommissariat of Estonia. Not wanting to get into a war with the Soviets, the Greeks issued a state of neutrality with war against the Comintern, as they did not want their plans of invading Turkey to be torn asunder. With months of preparation, the Greek government declared war against Turkey on the 7th of March, with the invasion of Thrace commencing, and the small Greek navy slowly guaranteeing a potential naval invasion of the Turkish port of Antalya. After eliminating the Geonosian lieutenant Sun Fac, Delta Squad had been reassigned to infiltrate the Droid Foundry. The squad immediately made their way into an elevator and went deeper into the foundry. Their communication and transmission with the advisor begins to decline and get cut off as they go further down, leading them to suspect there is a jamming device in the foundry. The four encounters fierce resistance from the Geonosians, especially encountering breeding chambers for the Geonosians, with tons of eggs spread throughout the chamber. Some to most eggs are destroyed, while the rest remains intact. Going deeper into the foundry, they find the jamming device, which is surrounded by a shield. Delta 38 finds a terminal nearby and shuts down the shield. With that obstacle out of the way, Fixer places an explosive charge onto the jamming device and the Boss sets off the charge, destroying the interference with the advisor. After that is done, they press further into the lower levels. After the destruction of the jamming device, Geonosian forces began to come in large numbers, bringing forth even greater resistance as Delta Squad proceeded to delve deeper into the foundry. After blasting their way through the Geonisian forces and demolishing a pillar to get them to their next indicated location, the foundry came under high alert. Battle droids and super battle droids had been assigned to guard the generator and defenses of deep within. This resistance proved futile as Delta Squad pierced through the defenses, slicing through terminals and setting off charges to get through the defenses until they reached the generator and the droid factory reactor. Fixer set the charges to destroy the foundry shield generator, and Sev set the final charges to destroy the reactor. With both destroyed, the Droid Foundry had been completely shut down. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Here is episode two of Republic Commando. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Ioannis Metaxas, the Greek state slowly started to build up its industry. Despite this, nationalistic fervor among the Greek populace started to grow and favor the fascist party, National Union of Greece (EEE). Throughout 1936, fascism grew until a national referendum was issued on November 16, to dissolve the Greek Parliament and determine if the EEE should claim power. The majority of the population ruled in favor of the fascist party and on the following day the National Union of Greece was declared. Greece's military buildup had begun under the leadership of Georgios Kosmidis, the de facto dictator of the Greek State. His goals are to re-establish the Byzantine Empire and reclaim the Eastern Roman territories.
