Turning-movement pandiculations of the upper trunk and of the pelvic girdle both depend upon twisting motions at the waist -- the twisting motions we feel (or see) when our walking is balanced, graceful and smooth.
Note that I am teaching how to do the twist for oneself, not moving the client passively.
Tom Hanna taught us, his students, to move the client passively ("means whereby") at first (to show the client the movement), then having the client take over the movement more and more, until in good control of the movement.

When we people get stuck, it's often because of unconscious ambivalence about a situation. Ambivalence means, "being pulled (or oriented) toward two directions, at once". Ambivalence prevents us from getting traction, from having clarity or decisiveness. A common term for that condition is, "confusion".
Many people are vague about confusion.
"con-" : with
"fusion" : the melding of two items into one
As the word suggests, confusion is about two or more options being entangled in our mind. Two options, "intending" and "refusing", are most basic. Together, they are the very essence of ambivalence: "fusion" of alternatives. Another term for the feeling is, "dilemma" :
"di-" (two)
"lemma" (proposition): a philosophical statement that you accept as true in order to find out whether another statement is true
See? confusion
No amount of mental analysis brings clarity because the ground of being of such mental analysis is, itself, confusion. Forced "enthusiasm" is no solution.
