Please NOTE THAT THESE STEPS MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU! Problems are different from PERSON TO PERSON..but the result is the same...BLACK SCREEN...this is what i tried and this is what didnt work for me but might work for you. AND WHAT FINALLY WORKED FOR ME!
-I have tried setting the display from 1.7777 to 1.6 and 2.333333.... == FAILED
-I installed AMD 14.4 and 14.7 == FAILED
- Reinstalled Graphic Drivers and made sure all drivers for mother board and CPU are UPTO DATE... == FAILED
- I have tried running it in Admin mode == FAILED
- I tried Downloading TORRENT Version (THAT SOMEHOW FREAKING WORKS) and Combining files ( mixing them up just to check) == FAILED
- I tried Several FRESH REINSTALL == FAILED
- Tried using fix Dead.Rising.3.V1.0.Steamworks.Fix-RVTFiX - that fixed Torrented but on STEAM its == FAILED
- REINSTALLED DIRECT X 11 == FAILED
- UNLOCKED FPS (followed the instructions) == FAILED
- INSTALLING On MAIN HD (C) Worked!!!

Dont Vote this Down please...if it didnt help you...its not my fault this game is BROKEN...All im trying to do is help...this isnt a FIX TO ALL PROBLEMS...so stop voting this down, i understand your frustration and the fact that your mad, but taking it out on the video isnt the best way to go about it.

This is my fix for how to run DR3 on 21:9 Screens. :)

Open the File "viewport.txt" in your Installed Folder "Steam\SteamApps\common\Dead Rising 3\data\datafile\" and put the list for all aspects into Viewport.txt:

16:10 and 4:3 not tested (work in progress) !! But 21:9 works fine!!! :)


Main Menu & Loading Screen 2D Pictures supports only 16:9, you can see in the background (left&right side out of 16:.9) the 3d world (looks buggy), but ingame it works fine after loading the level. :) Have fun!
