Good evening, I’m still reporting on Macy’s Crashes After Attacking Trump When Donald Trump declared that he would be running for President, Macy’s declared that it was cutting ties with the Trumps and dumped Trump’s clothing line. Why? Because of his so-called “disparaging” remarks about Mexicans. Of course, Macy’s never admitted that Trump’s remarks were never focused on the Mexican population in general – but only the worst criminals in Mexican jails who the Mexican government had released – basically across the border into the United States. Today, Macy’s released it’s disappointing holiday sales and it’s stock crashed 9%. The company also announced that it was closing 100 stores which would result in job losses of over 10,000 jobs. Back on July 1, 2015 after Macy’s started this war with our soon-to-be 45th President of the United States, the retailer’s stock stood at $67.82 per share. It now stands at about $32 per share. Mayor Henriette Reker told German women that they had to adopt a new “code of conduct” when dealing with the immigrant population – as though the sexual assaults perpetrated by gangs of muslim immigrants on New Year’s Eve were their fault. Reker has been criticized worldwide as a result. Now, the German government is suddenly showing a much stronger face – at least in appearance, if not in actual fact – towards the 1.1 million Middle Eastern immigrants who have registered in Germany just in 2015. 106 women have now come forward complaining of sexual assault in Cologne, but the same thing went on in many other German cities on New Year’s Eve as well. As a result, a major anti-Islam protest is planned for this Saturday afternoon outside the Cologne train station. Police expect 30,000 or more. A similar protest was held in late October, basically in support of Frau Reker - then a candidate for mayor of Cologne – who was stabbed for her pro-immigrant policies. The brutal stabbing swept Reker into office in a landslide. At the October protest, the anti-immigrant forces were only able to muster about 1,000 peaceful demonstrators. About 10,000 pro-immigrant demonstrators turned out, consisting of rock and fireworks-throwing far-left activists, civil society groups, politicians and average citizens. Police had to use water cannons on the larger group to maintain order. Yesterday, German Justice Minister Heiko Maas said that if an immigrant was arrested and convicted in a German court for sexual assault, then: ”Deportations would certainly be conceivable.” Conceivable, is it? Grrrrr. Sounds just like Clint Eastwood or Charleton Heston at their movie making toughest, doesn’t he? Minister Heiko explained that German law allows for people to be deported if they are sentenced to a year or more in prison. Andreas Scheuer, the general secretary of the conservative Christian Social Union party – the smallest party in Chancelor Angela Merkel’s coalition government - jumped on the German “get tough” bandwagon: “If it turns out that refugees were the perpetrators, then they forfeited their right to be guests.” Now there’s a national get-tough political stance that will send those million-plus Muslims running back for Turkey. A recent story in the leftist Politico sooooo reminded me of an ancient Bible passage right out of its most ancient book – Genesis. According to today’s Politico: “Harvard poll: Amid Trump’s rise, GOP voters turn sharply away from free trade. Eighty-five percent of Republicans say that free trade has cost more jobs than it has created, the survey found.” Here’s our interpretation. Donald Trump has already brought so much good to America from the issues he has popularized during his campaign, that it would take the rest of this report just to list them all. But the truth about trade and tariffs and the growth of domestic manufacturing is one of the most important. Why? Because the tortured notion that free trade is a good thing has now finally been punctured. As I’ve said many times in these reports; “free trade is really slave trade.” The Politico piece makes a valiant globalist effort to turn the American herd around, but to no avail. Americans seek – remember – “truth, justice and the American way.” Nope, the cat is now out of the bag on the “free trade” lie – a lie that attacks the truthful concept that the only thing that keeps this wicked world relatively free is sovereign nations using their sovereign money to enforce sovereign borders. The first U.S. tariff income figures begin in 1792 when 95% of the federal budget came from tariffs – a grand total income of $4.6 million. The average tariff on imported goods was 15.1%. Sixty-eight years later – in 1860 - just before the start of the Civil War, tariffs still funded 95% of the federal budget, and still stood at 15%. Tariffs stimulate internal manufacturing. Throughout the post-Civil-War boom, as America industrialized westward, tariffs still funded more than 50% of the U.S. budget at tariff rates of between 30 and 45%. The size of the tariff was a huge election issue in presidential campaigns, back then, and America prospered mightily. Everything in those days was made in America. Then came the controversial passage of the 16th amendment, allowing a federal income tax. From that point, the percentage of income derived from tariffs crashed to less that 1% in just 30 years, and America started its long and deceitful journey into debt, deindustrialization and decay, and joblessness, thanks to the siren song of free trade. Now only the wealthiest folks control ever-increasing chunks of global manufacturing and their final coup d’état is in the 8000 pages of the Trans Pacific Partnership. Why?
