In Bush Family Fortunes: The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, journalist Greg Palast argues persuasively that George W. Bush was allowed into the Air National Guard ahead of other applicants due to his political connections; paints a damning portrait of how over 90,000 Florida voters, predominantly black, were prevented from voting in the 2000 election; discusses the number of government contracts handed out to large corporate donors to Bush's campaign--and that's just the first half-hour. Palast doesn't have the cinematic savvy of Michael Moore, but Bush Family Fortunes acts as a valuable corollary to Fahrenheit 9/11, exploring certain facets of the same argument--specifically, that the Bush family is detrimentally tied to both the Saudi Arabian ruling elite and the American oil industry, with whom they trade influence and money for mutual benefit. Palast's investigations will stir the blood of any Democrat and may raise doubts in some Republicans. -- Bret Fetzer

The Biden administration's self-made crisis at the border and the unwinding of America's energy independence is "destroying our country" and enriching our oil-producing rivals, according to former President Donald Trump on Newsmax TV.
"They're destroying our country, and we just can't let these things to continue to happen – whether it's the border or energy independence," Trump told Monday's "Greg Kelly Reports."
"Look at what's happening with energy. Gasoline prices are going up like nobody thought would be possible."
This is after his administration's work to create energy independence brought gas prices "down to a level they've never seen before," Trump added to host Greg Kelly.
"Now they're going up," he continued. "We're making Russia and Saudi Arabia and all these other Middle East countries, and others" richer.
Trump even pointed to the Ukraine energy company Burisma, which had ties to President Joe Biden's son Hunter, who was paid to sit on its board.
"We're making them rich and we're becoming less and less energy independent," he said. "Within 3 or 4 months we won't be energy independent. It's a very sad thing."
Also, the border crisis, which the Biden administration has tried to blame Trump for, has been a disaster in Biden's making, Trump added.
"It's incredible to watch," Trump said.

Fact is no longer a factor. As technology has developed, websites like YouTube and Vimeo make it possible for anyone to broadcast information, even if the information they express is based on lies.
In an academic environment, a paper must have detailed references according to a set of university standards, but in a film, anything goes.
The Art of Deception is an explanation of how a documentary is constructed to communicate truth, brainwash the audience and push an agenda.
The Art of Deception explains the way the media has become a puppet for certain people. The US government used Kony 2012, or the invisible children, as a puppet to invade Uganda after they discovered huge amounts of untapped oil. This is explained in great detail in the documentary.
The Illuminati used Zeitgeist as a puppet to destroy religion and to scare the population about their own existence. Sounds far fetched, right?

ELM GUEST HOUSE CORRECTION
With the new viewers who have been brought this way, we have also been made aware of a location error.
At 31.25 I say I am outside the former Elm Guest House. I am not. This was a genuine mistake.
It it slightly along the road. The house I am in front of has nothing to do with EGH, I want to make that abundantly clear.
In fact even the actual building that was EGH has nothing to do with EGH.
We’re human, a small team and mistakes happen.
To be straight, and it’s no excuse for the mistake but I want to share it, anyway.
I was not well filming that day. I was giddy and in pain walking down the entire street. By the time we arrived at the house I felt quite disoriented.
We filmed a lot that day in London locations that were associated with horrific histories and later that evening I was ill and unable to walk for a period of time.
That said, we want to get our work right so when we were approached yesterday with the news that we had got it wrong, we immediately sought to correct it.
We tried to edit the video to completely remove this segment. This failed.
Apparently because of the amount of views it has had, which is great, It wouldn’t allow that edit without posting the video fresh, and losing the views and comments.
We tried to blur the video. But it wouldn’t allow us to do that either because there are copyright claims on the video from two parties who monetise it, who are not me.
I consider this a necessary trade off to get this information out there.
Then we tried to annotate it only to discover that You Tube doesn’t appear to do that anymore.
So, yes, editing in You Tube is somewhat restrictive.
Aside: if anyone knows a way to bypass these restrictions and edit this video, I would love to hear it. Thank you.
So, currently, we were left only with the alternative of leaving the correction in the comments and description. And so here it is.
Thank you.

In 2008, the stock market crashed, and the evidence is clear that the global economy has not recovered completely more than a decade later. To recover from the financial shocks, bailouts and stimulus packages were used to speed up the financial rehabilitation. Governments did what they felt was necessary to ensure that life as we know it could continue on the most familiar path possible. However, the question remains of whether the crash was just a symptom of a larger, more pervasive problem.
As one of the most powerful global political and economic players, the United States government has played and continues to play a critical role in what happens to the global financial system. However, the country has established a pattern that may ultimately undermine the very structures it has influenced. As long as the government is able to maintain the high level of faith it amassed in the beginning, the status quo may remain unchallenged but as time progresses, this seems less and less likely.
The global economy took a turn to its current trajectory in 1971 with the "temporary" suspension of the gold standard. It was then that the 1944 Bretton Woods Agreement was abandoned and money became the fiat currency it is today. But what is the difference between money and currency? Why is it relevant to the average person? How can it even affect the average individual? Understanding these details is important before anyone can begin to grasp why money was but is no longer "as good as gold." It is key to understanding and anticipating how another stock market crash might come about and assessing and inferring from a personal standpoint how likely it is.
There are some who believe the financial system operates as just a giant Ponzi scheme, but as long as they meet everyday needs, does it really matter? Is the problem just at a point where it is in an endless loop that just feeds itself? What role does debt inflation play in all of this? How much of the effects can the government really control and just how far are they willing to go to maintain this control?
Economic analysts give their take on how individuals can protect themselves and their families from the inevitable shocks of the economy and speculate on the areas of opportunity in a world where financial collapse is really just a matter of time.
