Welcome to Colombia
In Colombia (http://bit.ly/RepublicofColombia) there are many tourist places, diversity of landscapes, mountains, beaches, deserts and much more. Today I want to present, according to my experience, the most beautiful places in Colombia, with the best experiences and which you surely have to visit. Here is the list:
1. Santander (http://bit.ly/Santander_Colombia): It is a department whose capital is Bucaramanga(http://bit.ly/Bucaramanga_Santander). There is also one of the Heritage Towns of Colombia, Barichara (http://bit.ly/BaricharaColombia). Santander is the perfect place for extreme sports and has a diversity of ecosystems that allow you to enjoy different tourist activities.
2. Boyacá (http://bit.ly/BoyacaColombia): It is a department that does not have much tourism development, but it has amazing landscapes. There are tourist places like the Nevado del Cocuy (http://bit.ly/CocuyCOLOMBIA) and the Paramo de Ocetá (http://bit.ly/ParamoOceta).
3. Coffee Belt (http://bit.ly/CoffeeBelt): It is composed of the department of Quindio (http://bit.ly/QuindioColombia), Caldas (http://bit.ly/CaldasColombia) and Risaralda (http://bit.ly/RisaraldaColombia). Perfect for nature tourism and a great coffee experience.
4. Nariño (http://bit.ly/NariñoColombia): This department located in southern Colombia has several volcanoes and lagoons, such as the Laguna de la Cocha (http://bit.ly/LagunaCochaNariño). In Nariño you can do several outdoor activities, although tourism has not developed completely.
5. The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (http://bit.ly/SierraNevadaSantaMarta): A large mountain located in the middle of the Colombian Caribbean. There you can go hiking, visit coffee farms and enjoy spectacular landscapes.

Welcome to Colombia
At an altitude of 3,152 meters above sea level is the Cerro de Monserrate, one of the most important symbols of the capital. At the top of Monserrate, there is the El Paramuno Ecological Path, which is 360 meters long and dedicated to birdwatching. You can spot some of Colombia’s most beautiful species and large numbers of hummingbirds along the way.
Some of the birds found here are the Silvery-throated Spinetail (Synallaxis subpudica), the Shining sunbeam (Aglaeactis cupripennis), the sword-billed hummingbird (Ensifera ensifera), and many other birds that are typical of the high Andean forest ecosystem.
To get to the top of Monserrate, you can either walk or take the cable car.

La Reserva Natural El Encanto de Guanapalo (http://bit.ly/Guanapalo) is a nature reserve of approximately 9,000 hectares and is located 110km from Yopal Casanare (http://bit.ly/Yopal_Casanare), the capital of this department. La Reserva de Guanapalo was founded by Mr. Gerardo Zambrano in 1908 in order to preserve the environment, fauna and flora of Casanare and the typical Colombian llanero culture.
El Encanto de Guanapalo is made up of three hatos, Hato Mata de Palma, Hato de Altamira and Hato Montana, which are maintained thanks to tourism. In these hatos there is lodging space and delicious typical llanera food.
In the El Encanto de Guanapalo Nature Reserve you can perform activities such as bird watching, llanero safari, horseback riding, llanero-style cattle work, llanero party, boat tours, bike rides, listening to farm songs, artisanal fishing and nights of Colombian myths and legends.
La Reserva de Guanapalo is the ideal place for the best llanero experience in Casanare.

Barichara is a Colombian Heritage Town located in the department of Santander. It is considered the most beautiful city in Colombia and is also the ideal destination for architecture and amateur photographers. The colonial-style stone constructions are kept in a beautiful shade of yellow. This town was founded in the department of Santander in 1705 and has retained its colonial style to this day. For this reason, the city was declared a national monument in 1975.
