Three days of "cool" stuff, and crashes. Actually, just a bunch of "cool" stuff, cause crashes r definitely "cool" bra'. The Skyzone goggle DVR sometimes records audio out of sync, cause why perfect a product before you release it, right? I'm too lazy to fix it for a SD video (hypocritical?--probably). Yes, that was a tree I landed in, after doing dumb things... Successfully recovered with a dowsing rod (Taranis RSSI) and my significant other's enhanced visual pattern recognition... and my leatherman's saw along with a tree branch that gave it's life for me to make a long pokey thing (sorry tree(s). I had fun... rate mode feels natural, finally. My Atom had been entirely submerged in nasty flood water in a field the day before this... so it wasn't 100% for this weekend. Lots of q-tips and rubbing alcohol. I lost a front post where the frame was designed to fail (genius! now I have to buy a new one right?). I also knocked the IR filter loose inside the camera, both during collisions with blue goal posts. Motors are fine, as long as their crappy solid wires survive the coming frame transplant. Still have plenty of props, though 4-less nylon screws than I need. Arms are de-laminated on the edges, and some of the carbon fiber is now in my finger thanks to this. Nothing special.

Been a while since I've flown anything. Needed an HD toothpick-class quad in a pinch, so I literally settled for the Larva-X HD, cause everything is out of stock everywhere. I took it out of the box, squeezed it a bit and immediately got upset about the garbage "carbon" (pfff!) frame and ordered a suitable replacement. Ended up doing a total rebuild, replaced all the M2 hardware with stainless and did another direct solder job for the motor wires (so annoying and tiny). I flashed all the things and I'm trying to figure out a tune, which is okay; gusty day isn't helping.

All said and done, it's not great... but I have two of them. I'm going to tweak and fly the nuts off it all cause this is a damn hobby, and I occasionally enjoy it.
Laugh all you want about my little pony color scheme... you'll never find these colors in nature, unless you crash up a sakura tree in Japan. I've never lost a quad despite trying really hard!

I'm determined to leverage the Winter solitude outside to do more flying. I bought a ski-mask and heater gloves... cause shivering on the sticks = moar of dat palsy flow tho. This is an un-cut flight that just had that extra grace we all seek in this game. It was about -8°C at the time, snow still coming down hard. I soaked it a second time on the flight following this one, but I flew 20 packs yesterday before that. Hopefully it'll dry out and be fine; something near the RX on the AIO must've had the coating pulled off with VHB or something when mounting the VTX. WTF:BBW... GFY

Added JST, 5V Beeper, Silicone Conformal Coating and black glint tape (hopefully I won't lose it with all these mods). I modded the Beetle lens for IR / night vision after removing it from the VTX. I used a VTX from a FireFly, cause it supports SmartAudio. I direct-soldered the "URUAV Micro UXII Stubby RHCP" to the FireFly VTX and secured it between the rear props on the bottom.
