Christians need to understand something REAL GOOD! There is NO "old law" but rather a New Covenant which is a conditional agreement and promise from BOTH parties involved.GOD divorced Israel to offer Christ the Redeemer, offering a personal or individual covenant with any and all! When we accept Christ as SAVIOR through the blood HE CHRIST shed, perfectly keeping the LAW we accept and recognize those conditional terms and promises. Once saved always saved DEPENDS on YOU keeping your part! In accepting the Grace, Forgiveness and Salvation....We also accept that He is LORD which is MASTER. CHRIST was is and walked PERFECTLY in the LAW( GODS RIGHTEOUSNESS ) not so we don't have to but to SHOW us how in love!! Please simply consider Israel and the first Passover in which was a shadow of what was to come in Christ!! Israel was not called to be obedient one time in obeying Gods Passover but given a conditional promise based off of THEIR OBEDIENCE aka God's Covenant. God told them I have heard your cries, I will deliver you and bring you to the promised land... But you must keep MY Covenant MY TERMS MY WAY.. Nothing has changed with CHRIST who said " If you love me keep my commandments..Christ being THE Commandments walking in flesh perfectly! He said in Matthew 5 I am NOT come to destroy the law but to fulfill!!! He fulfilled what was necessary for SALVATION and what was required to be justified purified and receive The comforter! So the BODY of CHRIST has everything necessary with and in CHRIST to overcome the world by becoming the LIVING WORD... Choosing GOD's Way IN LOVE with no worry or FEAR of death because Christ DEFEATED IT FOR US... NOT TO remain in Sin!!! Hey Logan here with Firebrand Ministries!
