FPV Crashing: If at first you don't succeed, try and smash it on the 2nd go
A few raw flights here on the K-Quad. All can be directly attributed to me flying like an idiot... but it was fun to try.
I think I cracked the frame into something very hard on the second run, I heard the echo of it where I was sitting, and thought it couldn't be a good sign. But this sort of flying is kind of why we have this little 250mm quads, just to try silly gaps and things.
What's a K-Quad you ask ? It's a 3D-Printed frame by my buddy Neil (krikey), if you want to see how I put it together, check my build video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ht-NJ29aBRE
BetaFPV very kindly sent me over some new 4S capable 1105-5000kv motors along with an FC/ESC board to run them and some 4S lipos. In this video, I attempt to make something to use them.
The parts I used in the video are from BetaFPV were:
The FC/ESC board https://betafpv.com/collections/components/products/f4-2-4s-aio-brushless-flight-controller-12a-blheli_s
1105-5000kv Motors https://betafpv.com/collections/motors/products/1105-6000kv-motors-4-pcs
450Mah 4S lipos https://betafpv.com/collections/4s-battery/products/450mah-4s-75c-lipo-battery
If you prefer the slightly slower (but less tuning needed) idea of 3S lipos, then check these ones out https://betafpv.com/collections/batt-3s/products/300mah-3s-45c-lipo-battery-s-version-2pcs
I also used (affiliate links in these):
RunCam Micro Swift with 2.1mm lens https://www.banggood.com/RunCam-Micro-Swift-2-600TVL-2_1mm2_3mm-FOV-160145-Degree-13-CCD-FPV-Camera-with-Built-in-OSD-p-1179743.html?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=cussku&utm_campaign=currykitten&utm_content=zhikejian&p=E81211714085201408XQ
I used an AKK VTX in the video, but would probably replace this with an Eachine Nano https://www.banggood.com/Eachine-NANO-VTX-5_8GHz-48CH-25100200400mW-Switchable-FPV-Transmitter-Support-OSDPitmodeIRC-Tramp-p-1525228.html?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=cussku&utm_campaign=currykitten&utm_content=zhikejian&p=E81211714085201408XQ
I printed the Calimero frame https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3594068 (obviously you'd need your own 3d printer to do this)
... and also designed my own camera mount for the Swift micro which I've uploaded to thingiverse here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3817678

Sad times, the FrySky OmniNXT F7 board is dead, and so is the R9MM RX that came with it. On the plus side, wireless firmware updates are coming to the R9 system

I hadn't intended to make a follow up video to this initial review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrWG7F15JG4 as I'd assumed that based on my experiences of it on a quad and fpv car it would be quite good on a plane. Thanks to the guys that commented that they'd tried similar with some very odd screen warping effects, I felt I needed to get it on a plane quickly and try it myself.
On the good new front, the colour and picture is generally ok, and there's no jello on my batter AXN. On the bad news front, the screen warping is pretty awful, and felt really strange to fly.
If I can get a less wide-angle lens for it, then I'll have another go. If you know where to get one, or have already tried, then please let me know.

This is the ending to "Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts" on the Xbox 360. It's quite an old game, and I bought it cheap several years ago, but never got around to finishing it as I didn't really like it.
So I made a bit of an effort to clear some of the half finished games I had on the shelf, and so managed to make a bit of effort into finishing this off.
I tend to think it would be a good game if you are into the building vehicles aspect of it. I'm not, I just want to get on with it. If you are then you can build and rebuild to your hearts content and come up with some really funky cars and stuff.
Happily for me, the top ten times for each stage have a replay on the leaderboard and sometimes these people allow their vehicle to be shared. Although I could do the last stage with a vehicle I designed, it wasn't fast enough to complete the game, so I downloaded a blueprint from the 8th fastest person. Of course, then I had to spend another 5 hours or so back on the game earning all the parts I needed to build it.
Something odd about this ending, it doesn't start showing the credits, but instead just goes back to the title screen. You can see the credits, but have to view them seperately as an option from the title screen,

Being old and lazy, having to unscrew and screw things in multiple times when fixing something feels like hard work. That's what I like about an electric screwdriver. But this one is "smart" it has upgradable firmware and has several modes and methods of operation. Let's check it out.
This screwdriver kit was kindly supplied by Sequre for review, so if you'd like to check out the kit in more detail please consider using the following affiliate link: https://sequremall.com/products/electric-screwdriver?ref=lkmnpe12&variant=43267637215420
