On Aug 30, Protests and rallies have broken out in Inner Mongolia, Zhelimu, Kulun Banner and Ordos, where ethnic Mongolians are protesting the cancellation of Mongolian language education by the Chinese Communist Party, and Mongolian parents are taking their children home from school. And CCP police officers are cracking down on protesters. The Education Department of the #CCP in Inner Mongolia has issued a request that, beginning with the new school term on 1 September, ethnic schools throughout the region will adopt the so-called bilingual education model and, starting with the first grade of elementary school and the first grade of junior high school, use Chinese instead of Mongolian as the language of instruction.
